The red oak tree in Shubenacadie, N.S., 100’s of years old, stands alone in a farmer's field. Through the winds of war, depressions, pandemics.Through good and bad, and this week, barely a klmtre away, unspeakable horror. Through the mist, the dawn will illuminate it, will grow
Ideal conditions today- low chatter about our work, flexible seating options, technology to support adaptations, choice of solo, partner or group support. Had to stop filming and get back to answering questions! #seeinsideourclassroom
Can't hide this anymore! I passed my Canadian citizenship test with a 100% Score, not even one answer was wrong. My ceremony will be in a few weeks. They said bring your family, but not sure if there is a venue that can fit 37.59 Million Canadians, I have a big family now 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Sitting in my room this morning before classes start, listening to my students passionately discuss WWI and teaching students not in my class facts they’ve learned. ☺️#engagement#morningsmile#seeinsidemyclassroom
I used to hate designing rubrics until coming across the single point rubric. Now Assessment is less of an afterthought during my lesson planning and it clearly defines to the students how to meet the expectations and learning targets as well as providing meaningful feedback!
@asforan #EDUC520J positive relationships are central to student engagement. If one child makes a better connection to a teacher while outdoors; maybe just that one time it’s worth it! Within the first week of class I play Jose tubes. I learn so much in that one session!
@asforan #educ520j 1. Show the parent your risk assessment plan. 2. Invite parent to chaperone 3. Show parent what per hour bike maintenance costs at local bike shop!
@asforan #educ520j OE is as valuable as IE. The real learning experiences happen when a teacher creates meaningful lessons that match their students needs and interets. Sometimes this is inside sometimes this is outside.
@asforan #educ520j I think that downtime is an excellent place for reflective writing and meaningful discussion. Lean on your literacy experts for support! Complete ELA outcomes while on a trip!
