@ChristianPogea Was ist deine Schlussfolgerung?

Software is this weird space where you can spend basically nothing and create a billion dollars of value, or spend a billion dollars and create basically no value.
As a software dev, I find few things more satisfying than a fully-automated, fast build. It's invaluable.
On the other hand, slow, janky builds are huge time sinks.
If you can, spend some time to automate your builds. Testing, releasing, etc. You'll be happy you did!
It may be worth noting: Buffer has been fully remote for almost 10 years, and..
Our worlds feel turned upside down as a result of the pandemic, too. This is not normal remote working!
We know remote, and eager to help others, but also adapting to the new reality ourselves.
This is the response of dinosaurs who deep down believe that people only work because they’re being watched and monitored all the time. The second the boss turns the head, no journalist will want to report important stories.
Things are moving fast, but in case you missed the memo: If you have any capacity at all to let people work from home, now is the time to go ahead with that. Yesterday was better. Last week even more so. But if that didn’t happen, now is imperative.
And holding the line here isn't free. Emily has had to inconveniently prioritize reliability work at times when we would have preferred to ship features.
We still spend about 30% of our eng time on cleanup and refactoring and things that don't directly move the product forward,
