@themoviedadsc I just flew out of Fort Lauderdale airport this morning. It was a completely normal and pleasant experience. A few weeks ago, it was very unpleasant. Appears to be improving.

@lost_grrl @Hoyatas @MattP29609825 @TheCinesthetic Yes. Austrian accent is very song-like, has different vowel sounds that sound almost softer and it has unique vocabulary. It would sound very different and a German would know it. I’m from a former Austrian region of Italy (Südtirol) - we sound very similar to Austrian German.

@slayer_book @Hoyatas @MattP29609825 @TheCinesthetic You could not confuse Swiss German with standard German or the German from Südtirol, where I am from. It’s impossible. I see you may be from US. The difference is like US English to Jamaican Accent to Scottish Accent. Best comparison I can make - obvious difference.

@slayer_book @Hoyatas @MattP29609825 @TheCinesthetic Not really. Piz Palü is on the border of Switzerland and Italy. He absolutely doesn’t sound Swiss German and I’m from around 3 hours from there. The German there doesn’t sound like his accent at all. The German Major says he is great with accents - he’d know.

He actually speaks clearer in the movie than he does in the interview, and as a German speaker, it is very obvious he isn’t a native, neither in the movie nor in real life. He does speak fine German though. He cannot do the German ‘r’. Why are u upset?
