When I first learned about #josephsmith and how he practiced #polygamy I was shocked. It’s appalling that someone would be sealed to and take care of multiple people. For that reason I am now #exmormon and participate in swinging and polyamory. #nocommitment#postmormon
I hate that #lds#tbm will try to gaslight me about my personal experiences with things like “Ask God” or “Gain your own testimony”. No thank you. I chose to follow #exmo podcasts and insta therapists that tell me those experiences weren’t real and that I shouldn’t believe them
@TheExMoCringe That’s not true at all! We left the church so we could stand up for women. Sure our profits, sorry prophets, like John and Bill either cheated or practiced swinging (allegedly) and many who leave the LDS church follow their actions, but we are doing it for female empowerment
@pimomormon@LoganMPierce1 Yeah Logan, what don’t you get? Forget that there are 18 witnesses of the gold plates but no witnesses of the Book of Madoc, and just trust us bro. Don’t pay attention to the claim of the book of Madoc coming from a book in 2000 that was riddled with scholarly errors
Mormons are so foolish to believe in a book that came from plates that were witnessed by 18 people. Us exmos believe in the theory that Joseph copied from a “book” that no one has ever found any record of, either the book or a transcript. #exmologic
@surfnburnn@slaviclachoneus@beekernaut@Ch_JesusChrist@surfnburnn just coming back to check on you? You went MIA after those last few. Any insights you’d like to share after I showed the kind of misleading shows that the profit, sorry, I meant to say prophet John, was producing?
@FirmesConstante@TheExMoCringe@ExMosPostingLs Of course, it’s the exmo way, a formula I learned from our profit, sorry I meant prophet @johndehlin. We use anecdotes and exaggerated stories to attack a religion we once loved and then emotionally manipulate our family and friends till they leave too. What could go wrong?
@FirmesConstante@TheExMoCringe@ExMosPostingLs No, unfortunately this brave man posing as a woman is not related or I’d use his anecdotal experience to justify religious bigotry against the LDS church
@ExMosPostingLs@TheExMoCringe Why would this be satire? I mean everyone knows it’s completely rational to try to change genders to something you’re not
@seanproxy@TheExMoCringe Oh of course, I mean just look at this graph. 28% in LDS teens vs 49% in non religious teens. I think that that shows……well ignore what that shows and just believe people like @johndehlin who say it’s bad. Don’t pay attention to data or facts and just trust me bro
@slaviclachoneus@surfnburnn@beekernaut@Ch_JesusChrist Since I’m the one being quoted here let me expand on this. I and many others including my wife found the Mormon stories podcast thinking it was a faith promoting podcast to strengthen members. The way John promotes himself makes it seem like it is. It is intentionally misleading
@ldsabuse So let me get this straight, I’m supposed to believe that someone who misrepresented Bednars talk is presenting me with an accurate criticism. At least try to present the actual point. Bednar was pointing out that Jesus didn’t present the plan, rather he said “send me”
@GoWithJordan_ But is the Bible not the word, and the word is god? If Abraham did this and was not instructed by god to do so would it not disqualify him as a prophet?
@GoWithJordan_ Got those Mormons! But question, if the word is God and Genesis 12:10-13 says the same thing or again in Genesis 20 would that not mean that the Bible says the same thing?
