Dr Saia Ma’u Piukala, @WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific, visited #Samoa for the 15th Pacific Heads of Health Meeting. This is the second Pacific island visit by Dr Piukala since he assumed office in February 2024, highlighting WHO's ongoing commitment to the Pacific.

UN Resident Coordinator, @DirkWagenerUN, touched down in Nuku'alofa 🇹🇴 this weekend to begin his first official mission to Tonga. Mr Wagener will present his credentials to His Majesty King Tupou VI this morning, followed by key meetings with government, civil society and UN staff on the ground in the coming days.
Yesterday, Mr Wagener joined colleagues in Pea Village to spend the morning attending Sunday Service.
