hello @KPMG , I would love to see what evidence you have that fragmenting primary care into tiny little shattered pieces is good for patients, staff, the NHS, or taxpayers https://t.co/FW5hql9PYV

Around you, you see other plumbers leaving for better lives, some burning out and becoming very unwell, and others getting into a financial situation that makes it impossible to continue. You count yourself lucky – you’re still going, just.
GPs are the plumbers. We’re holding on in desperation. We’re not as glamorous as large companies (hospitals) and we’re cheaper than electricians (dentists). There is no bitterness towards them, but there is resentment towards the park owners, and deep sadness at how many of the residents and the media see us. These final two things are most likely to finish me off, as a GP. I shouldn’t care what people think, but I do. Caring is what I do.
"We have this one final opportunity to work together to create long lasting change which will save general practice".
GPC England Chair @doctor_katie has written to the Prime Minister today seeking a meeting to discuss redressing the balance of general practice.
Awful. Awful way to die. The anxiety they must have had getting on to it in the first place. The noises the vessel inevitably made before it tore apart. The families not knowing what happened, and may never truly know.
Those poor migrants. They only wanted a better life.
The irony - what humanity looks like 2023!
Rescue teams of a tourist submersible carrying 4 millionaire and 1 billionaire went missing during a dive to the wreck of the Titanic, and a rescue teams of a refugee boat carrying 800 poor people looking for a better life for their children.

@RACGP@runningdoc14@amapresident what do we think about the social responsibility of GP practices actively promoting cosmetic procedures in their windows right next door to a school? For the mental health of our youth should we not be actively discouraging such practices?
Keir Starmer is my political opponent but an honourable and decent man. No one in political office should be tweeting #disinformation like this - least of all the Cabinet Secretary responsible for tackling disinformation. Nadine Dorries should take this down.
Conversations are rarely boring with deep listening. There is every opportunity to learn something you didn’t know. Even the conflict that ensues with opposing viewpoints is teachable: you sharpen your own viewpoint while recognizing that your philosophy isn’t the only one #Teams
