@aiGOODtime @davidjmills67@SaveGNR@NERTinc@ScottMorrisonMP Mr Mills wouldn't know what day it is! Our petition to reintroduce passenger trains north of #Armidale is still growing and approaching 10,000 signatories, the majority of which are from New England residents.

@NERTinc@ScottMorrisonMP@ScottMorrisonMP as @NERTinc like to use NewZealand as example for rail trails Here's our example of how rail is of economic benefit to the region.
https://t.co/EpNLDapLxU
Rail benefits more than rail trails.
@NERTinc@ScottMorrisonMP Would rather see rail services reinstated north of Armidale than a rail trail, there are ample quiet country roads and trails including the great Northern trail that are underutilised for cycling and walking. Rail services reinstated will help make our roads safer for all users.
@ArmidaleExpress Really? We don't see how a rail trail outweighs the benefits to the economy over a operational railway restoring rail services to the region. How will councils be able to afford maintenance costs ultimately that responsibility falling to @ARC2350 and Glen Innes Council.
@SaveGNR@NERTinc Clear majority want rail services reinstated north of Armidale. If rail services were reinstated this would be greater benefit to the region. @MayorArc & Glen Innes council decision to support the rail trail & have rail corridor formally closed effects others north of Armidale.
@NERTinc Why do you want the railway formally closed when there is no need to. Why not change your proposal to a rail with trail concept. Its clear from the polls and surveys that majority want to see trains returned. Just look at Oberon as the path runs next to the railway.
@NERTinc Clearly people want trains running again in the region so why not have both rail & trail. Byron bay council report regarding the casino murwillumbah railway proves that rail trail by itself would not break even but a rail with trail concept would make $1.50 for each $1 invested.
@davidjmills67 @aiGOODtime @LGNSW@ARC2350@ShelleyMP@northerninland For someone who wants to have there proposal come to fruition your behavior seems rather unprofessional and threatening. Not exactly the type of behavior we would display if a proposal was wanting approval to move forward.
@davidjmills67@LGNSW@ARC2350@ShelleyMP From what we know the only one telling porkys and not supporting the community is you Mr Mills. Majority of the entire New England community want rail services returned. They don't want their railway ripped up for a rail trail.
@NewEngTrains@ArmidaleExpress@NERTinc That's very selfish indeed, Why not have both rail and trail which would be a win win for everyone and the region.
@ArmidaleExpress It's very clear that majority want rail services reinstated & not a rail trail. We believe a compromise of a rail with trail concept was offered but selfishly rejected by @NERTinc who persist with a proposal that only a minority want. #rail#trains#nswpol#auspoI
@vrgunzel @unclebuddha77 @ARC2350 It's very clear what the people in the New England region want, why are council supporting a proposal that only a minority support. Why not change proposal rail with trail concept, surely this would be a win win for everyone.
