Our record is for the ‘Highest-altitude microplastics found on land’ during the @insidenatgeo Everest expedition 🏔

Fun day rock pooling yesterday, even if it did keep raining. Got some practise measuring crabs ready for my final year dissertation, and also found a pipefish, first I’ve ever seen in real life!

Very sad finding this dead juvenile Green Sea turtle, Chelonia mydas, washed up on the shore of Cananveral National Seashore, FL. Decomposition showed that it had a stomach filled with plastic, likely the cause of its death 😢 #plasticpollution #greenseaturtle #floridawildlife
