@vikrantnyc@cakewallet@MoneroCom I use it to design engineering courses, triage papers as an editor, review theses, analyze my own data, write my own papers, and even modified my seedsigner to store bip85 child seeds last weekend
@cguida6@SuperTestnet I know have no idea what all the consequences of bip 110 will be. But neither do you or @SuperTestnet since you disagree on the outcome. I like his approach to consensus building and think yours is doing the opposite
@cguida6@SuperTestnet Possibly. But you did nothing to counter that fud. @SuperTestnet was convincing. Possibly because I had experience with issues he raised. I felt you never made your own argument. You just dismissed him as the only one who cared. Terrible approach to kill fud or pace and lead
@cguida6@SuperTestnet It wouldn’t matter since I have no followers or a bitcoin business, but I probably would. The miniscript break is my biggest concern. But I’d mostly just like to see you win over most people who agree with you on most things rather than dismiss and laugh at.
@cguida6@SuperTestnet Having watched the debate, yes, I would be comfortable supporting @SuperTestnet proposed plan. I think you are missing an opportunity to get big numbers. You say he’s the only one but he represents my feelings well. I bet there’s a lot more. I don’t support core or 110 today
@cguida6@SuperTestnet Is bip 100 problematic for p2wsh channels? I think you’re saying op_if should be replaced by tapleaves in taproot. But what about P2WSH? There are P2WSH Lightning channels using op_if that can’t use tapleaves. Do they have to migrate to taproot?
@cguida6@SuperTestnet I probably could. Nunchuck probably could. The people who have already set this up probably could. Do we not care that there are users? You can at least acknowledge that there are users and make the case that the spam via op if is particularly bad and that theirs a better way
@cguida6@SuperTestnet You could tell me why op if is such a problem for you (and me) but you don’t. You just tell me that it’s of no use except to scammers. Ok, but I’ve seen a use. You could argue there’s a better way. That would have beat the ‘do you know what usage means’ comment. Good luck
@cguida6@SuperTestnet I almost ‘used’ such a miniscript for my inheritance wallet but didn’t because of this issue. I’m sure plenty have ‘used’ miniscript for wallets in ways that bip 110 prohibits
