Dad. Engineer. Sci-fi nerd. 3 first names, all A's. I model & print parts that don't exist. I own things that fell from the sky. My kid thinks it's all normal.
@elonmusk Everyone who's spent years typing "it was suborbital on purpose" in the replies can finally retire it. It was true every time. Today it just stopped being necessary. ๐ซก
@adavenport354 Would you mind if I used this clip, credited to you? It is for a personal project, nothing commercial. Happy to explain by DM if you would rather.
I raised the head of my bed three inches with printed risers after Elon's bed-incline post. A week in, I haven't had acid reflux once, I'm sleeping deeper, and I wake up more rested. Didn't expect 2.15ยฐ to make this much difference!
Draconids tonight, visible across the US. Best in the evening, almost no Moon, look north. Most years they're quiet, like this 2018 time lapse from Northern California. Every so often they storm. Worth 20 minutes on the porch to find out which kind of year this is.๐

@DimaZeniuk May 2020, two astronauts and a brand new capsule. Six years later, Dragon has flown 21 crews, and one is on its way home right now. Awesome Stuff!
My daughter informed me her doll needed a helmet so he could go to space. It was not presented as a request.
Scaled the helmet off the doll's head and printed it overnight. Perfect fit on the first try, ears included ๐
She has been opening and closing the visor all day. We always watch the Starship launches together, and I have been told "Space Dolly" is watching the next one with us. Go Ship 41 / Flight 14!
Every satellite gets one look back at the ship that carried it up there. This one recorded it. Crystal clear, with the entire planet sliding by below. Awesome footage!
SpaceX just posted new footage of Ship 41 deploying Starlink V3 satellites. Ship 41 looks perfectly straight this time.
A Starlink V3 is filming while Ship 41 races around Earth ahead of it, deploying satellites at the same time. This is straight-up sci-fi.
Movies don't prepare you for the scale. Seeing a full size R2-D2 and a droideka in person at @3DPrintopia, I kept thinking how big these would be if they were real. I would not want to meet that droideka in a hallway.

@AstroForge@pronounced_kyle Daniel Suarez's Delta-v sent a cave diver to mine Ryugu, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Question for the AstroForge team: who's the first hire you'd want on an asteroid crew? ๐
