See why I’m building a position in Brookfield $BN and what valuation I’m targeting
It’s now a 4% position in my portfolio and I’m feeling good about this one 💪🏻

My thoughts on Meta! I’m slowly adding this to my portfolio at current valuations but recognise the potential for lack of cost control. Let me know what you think!

$META
Zucks is not going down without a fight
was $600 a few days ago…
catalysts:
- new compute biz (potentially)
- layoffs in reality labs
- threads monetization announced
- multiple analyst upgrades based on depressed multiple + whatsapp scaling
who’s long?
@wallstengine Not really bothered by another LLM, it’s how it’s being utilised to drive ads/improve customer proposition which I wish the CTO would speak about
@qualtrim Wow - is that just because of the more live events Disney has? Because the regular streaming services are way way better from Netflix so what on earth are Disney spending money on!
I’m not one for commenting on politics, but … speaking as a European, the way to counter Trump is to forge a closer pact with China in certain (non security threatening) issues
TRUMP:
- 10% tariff on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, Netherlands, and Finland
- Effective February 1st
- Tariff Increases to 25% beginning on June 1st
- Tariffs will continue until the US reaches a deal to buy Greenland

Any UK people used Starlink?
This headline is a bit misleading as you can definitely get high speed wi fi for way cheaper than £40 from existing providers so Starlink’s price doesn’t appear that attractive …
🔴 In the UK, Starlink has just started offering high-speed internet for as little as £35 a month - that is cheaper than BT’s equivalent £40 service

@m37683711 Good call out, thank you!
I am slightly more concerned on the execution risk than it sounds you are but agreed this is a good investment at current valuations nonetheless! 🤝

@signulll I agree that this could be material fo openAI but certainly disagree that they can get the ARPU higher than Meta.
The average use case for LLMs is a therapy coach, I’m not sure it really is that much closer to decisions. But good post!
@2147mill Around 50% goes into ETFs, remainder goes into individual stocks that I’m bullish on (currently Meta, Mastercard and Brookfield as recent purchases)
