STATE-SPONSORED EXTORTION SYNDICATE OPERATING IN THE NAME AND UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE HON'BLE DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER OF MANIPUR

It is a matter of grave concern that the same individual, who has on numerous occasions sought to attribute every untoward incident in the State to the Kuki-Zo community and to duly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly, now stands implicated.

In view of such substantive, clinching, and prima facie evidence having come to the fore, the question that arises is whether the individual concerned shall tender his resignation on moral grounds, or whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Naga People's Front (NPF) shall demand his immediate resignation in the interest of probity in public life.

An investigative report published by Impact News has revealed that a brazen, organized, and systematic extortion syndicate is allegedly being operated within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of Manipur.

As per the contents of the said report, an illegal levy ranging from ₹9,000 to ₹20,000 per truck is being forcibly extorted from drivers, purportedly at the express behest and in the name of the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri Losii Dikho, through his Public Relations Officer (PRO).

It is further alleged that drivers who refused or were unable to remit the said illegal levy were unlawfully detained, confined, and held hostage for a period exceeding 48 hours by persons acting under the authority and on behalf of the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister. Their release was secured only subsequent to the intervention of media personnel, who also unearthed a ledger meticulously maintaining a record of the illicit collections, ranging from ₹9,000 to ₹20,000 per vehicle.

According to credible reports and statements issued by a prominent leader of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, a well-entrenched and comprehensive network of illegal extortion booths has been established along the said route at the behest of the senior Naga People's Front (NPF) leader and Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri Losii Dikho.

WAS THE SPEAKER’S VOICE FINALLY IDENTIFIED?

Was the viral audio compared with the admitted voice sample of N. Biren Singh?

If the hearing took place today, why is there still no clear public information available?

We are not asking anyone to declare guilt or innocence.

We are asking for transparency.
We are asking for the forensic findings.
We are asking one simple question: WHO IS SPEAKING IN THE AUDIO?

Mizoram Government to Award ₹40 Lakh Each to Lalremsiami and Lalthantluangi

5 October 2026: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced that the Government of Mizoram will award an incentive cash prize of ₹40 lakh each to Mizo hockey players Lalremsiami Hmar of Kolasib and Lalthantluangi of Kanghmun South, who were members of the Indian women’s hockey team that won the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games.

A felicitation and thanksgiving programme for the two Asian Games gold medallists was held at R. Dengthuama Hall on Monday evening, October 5.

At the programme, the Chief Minister announced that each player would receive ₹25 lakh under the Mizoram Sports Incentive Cash Award and an additional ₹15 lakh from Bana Kaih, bringing the total award to ₹40 lakh each.

Chief Minister Lalduhoma said that although Mizoram may not be able to offer awards comparable to those provided by larger and wealthier states, the government wanted to demonstrate, to the best of its ability, how much it values the players’ achievements.

He also said the success of the two Mizo athletes demonstrates the immense potential of Mizo youth in hockey when they receive proper training and support. He noted that hockey was among the sports traditionally associated with Mizos and said it should be promoted again because it is a sport in which Mizoram can excel and bring recognition to India at the international level.

Various organisations and groups also presented gifts and felicitations to the two accomplished Mizo players during the programme.

BJYM President Barish Sharma has also expressed anger over the role of former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, stating that the Manipur Violence or Ethnic Cleansing of the Kuki community in Manipur was initiated under his leadership.

When will the innocent get justice if the National Investigation Agency (@NIA_India) continues to turn a blind eye to serious allegations against those in positions of power, including N. Biren Singh?

Why does the NIA appear reluctant to act against members of the ruling party and those associated with the government? Are we working only for the BJP, or for the people of India?

And when will the Supreme Court ensure that its actions and decisions are guided by facts, evidence, and the constitutional guarantee of justice?

Justice must be impartial. No political party or government should be above the law.

A REALITY CHECK

If the Government of India were genuinely committed to resolving the political crisis in Manipur, the matter could be resolved within 24 hours. The lack of seriousness on the part of the authorities becomes evident on the eve of every Supreme Court hearing, particularly with regard to the role of the then Chief Minister, Shri Nongthombam Biren Singh @NBirenSingh, who was responsible for orchestrating genocide against the peace-loving Kuki-Zo community. The question that arises is: why is the BJP continuing to shield Shri Nongthombam Biren Singh from facing justice?

Likewise, had the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh @YKhemchandSingh , been sincere in addressing the tensions between the Tangkhul-Liangmai and Kuki-Zo communities, appropriate and timely action would have been initiated when Litan Sareikhong Village was burnt by cadres of the Tangkhul NSCN-IM following a drunken altercation.

It is becoming increasingly evident that neither the political leadership at the Centre nor in the State, nor the community leaders, appear to be genuinely interested in fostering peaceful coexistence in this deeply troubled state.

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, following the abduction of two unarmed, innocent civilians from Mongkot Chepu and Shangkai villages by the Tangkhul NSCN-IM, villagers detained 21 Tangkhul individuals for the purpose of an exchange.

The response of the Manipur Meitei Government was to contact New Delhi to ensure the safety of the Tangkhul detainees. The Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh @YKhemchandSingh, stated, "I spent the entire night sleepless." Subsequently, the 21 Tangkhul detainees were released by the Kuki-Zo community based on assurances given by the Government of Manipur and New Delhi. Regrettably, the mutilated bodies of the two abducted, unarmed Kuki-Zo civilians were recovered the following day.

No response has been issued by the Government, nor has any stringent action been initiated against the Tangkhul NSCN-IM. Had Hemjang Haokip, who was abducted and brutally murdered, belonged to the Tangkhul or Liangmai community, would the Manipur Meitei Government have remained silent? I leave it to the people of the state to decide whom to trust in light of these repeated incidents.

Shri Hemjang Haokip, a resident of Khunkho Village, Kangpokpi District, who was abducted from his agricultural field yesterday by militants belonging to the NSCN-IM and ZUF-Kamson, was found dead under tragic circumstances this afternoon.

He was merely an elderly farmer who posed no threat to anyone. We demand immediate, swift and stringent action against the perpetrators — the Tangkhul NSCN-IM and ZUF-Kamson.

Enough is enough.

PUBLIC DEMAND FOR ACCOUNTABILITY

Serious allegations and criminal cases have been reported in connection with Korounganba Khuman, also known as Tyson Ngangbam, who has been publicly identified as a leader of Arambai Tenggol. A Manipur Police FIR from February 2024 specifically named him among persons allegedly involved in an armed attack, abduction and weapons seizure involving a police officer.

These matters demand lawful, impartial and thorough investigation—not selective justice. Every allegation involving killings, sexual violence, arson, destruction, forced displacement, looting of weapons or attacks on security personnel must be investigated through credible evidence, with responsibility established individually and without political or community-based bias.

NIA, CBI, Manipur Police and other competent investigating agencies must examine the available evidence, register appropriate cases where warranted, question those connected to the offences, and place the facts before the courts. If the evidence establishes criminal responsibility, the law must take its course. If allegations are not substantiated, that too should be established through due process.

Justice for victims. Accountability for perpetrators. Equal protection under the law. No selective enforcement. No impunity.

Many in our Kuki community do not believe that, our Chiru-Kuki brothers, were involved in the killing of our three pastors near Kotzim in Kangpokpi District on 13 May 2026. Our hearts refuse to accept it.

But I must appeal to you directly: If any among you are still working with NSCN-IM or ZUF-Kamson, I beg you, please reconsider your association and distance yourselves from them.

My concern is this — if the investigation proceeds, I fear you will be made scapegoats while the actual perpetrators remain protected. The Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM may give your names to the NIA, but that does not mean they will hand over the real killers.

We have not forgotten history. We remember how former Chief Minister Rishang Keishing was treated, and the claims regarding the denial of burial-related arrangements and condolences in Ukhrul. This happened because Rishang Keishing's father was Kuki and his mother was Tangkhul. The Tangkhul always remember your roots; don't forget.

Tangkhul leaders know our shared roots and history. If tensions escalate, I fear deeply that you, our Old Kuki brothers, will suffer the most.

Please do not allow yourselves to become pawns in someone else's conflict. Stand for truth, justice, and accountability.

And I ask all of us: Who divided us into Old Kuki and New Kuki? Why can we not stand united as one people?

Since the Biren Singh audio was leaked, the issue has remained a hot topic. At the same time, it has moved from audio waves into political waves, where the core question surrounding the recording has gradually been pushed aside and ignored.

Many top political leaders are aware of this controversy, yet the audio remains unresolved and publicly disputed to this day. Over time, we have heard many explanations and claims about the recording, but one important question remains:

WHO IS SPEAKING IN THE AUDIO?

I have posted many tweets about the N. Biren Singh audio issue, focusing on this central question and challenging the way the forensic findings have been presented publicly.

The audio has been labelled “cut,” “edited,” and “manipulated.”

But that raises an even more important question:

IF NFSU IS EXPERT ENOUGH TO IDENTIFY AN AUDIO RECORDING AS “EDITED, CUT OR MANIPULATED,” THEN A SERIOUS QUESTION REMAINS:

WHY CAN’T THE SPEAKER’S VOICE ALSO BE IDENTIFIED?

Calling an audio recording edited or manipulated does not, by itself, answer the question of who is speaking in it.

Now, let’s see what happens at the next hearing.
