THE STORY OF ZUBAIR UL ISLAM BHAT .

This is Zuber @bhattweetss from Khumriyal. Congratulations on passing NEET.

Zuber has excelled academically. But Zuber is much more than a young boy who has cracked NEET.

The life of Zuber is a story. And I too am a part of that story. And I share a special bond with him. From depths of despair a year back Zuber has bounced back and will soon embark on a career in medicine.

An year back Zuber was all set to be booked under the PSA. The dossier was ready. His family approached me. He is a couple of years older than my children. I don’t know what happened. But I was convinced that Zubair has to be saved. I was convinced that Zubair is special and can deliver academically and move on to have an excellent career. I believed that Zubair deserves a chance.

I approached SSP Kupwara who I have to say was v apprehensive. I volunteered to personally guarantee his conduct. We talked so many times over phone and the conversation would end with disagreements.

I still remember I got a call from the SSP Kupwara. He said he had given it a thought and that he too is convinced that Zubair needs to be given a chance.

And congratulations to SSP Kupwara. His decision to release Zubair means he has added a doctor to the society.

I would have never have talked about this. But Zubair’s story is a story of triumph of love and compassion. Maybe there is a message in this story. I hope
Our decision makers understand that message.

The only playground in our village was about 45 kanals of land but unfortunately encroachment by some people only 20 kanals of land is

BUDGET

The budget speech was on expected lines a disappointment.

Same old style of parroting Centrally Sponsored Schemes with Hindi nomenclature.

Vast gulf between electoral political innuendos and economic arithmetics of Budget.

Glorified and endorsed the BJP Naya Kashmir discourse and statistics, that have been berated by NC in the last decade. All of a sudden every government statistic of the past 5 years is the gospel truth and the incumbent government seems eager to jump into the frame and take credit for those statistics which until the other day they told all of us —-were either fudged or fiction.

I was expecting a politically viable & economically vibrant budget rather than an annual statement of outlay & expenditure.

Even 200 units of electricity promised is for AAY only and linked to the Centrally Sponsored Roof Top scheme which has appx 65% central share with a cap of 3 KV. Too many strings attached.

Linking social welfare payments to DA means we have to pray for a miraculous zero inflation for real increase.

This budget is bereft of
anything visible which will impact the lives of common man positively.

Petrol and diesel prices set to increase by ₹ 1/ Lt and ₹ 2/ Lt respectively due to reduction in rebate on perrol and diesel.

Nothing for employment

Nothing for daily Wagers

Nothing for contractual employees

Nothing for minimum wages

Shifting of police budget was mentioned as if it was an achievment. The soul of statehood which we believe was stolen from us, was relegated to yet another statistic.

If the LG address was a political relegation of aspirations, this budget is a statistical relegation of aspirations.

And hang on— here is some good news. The PM, The HM and the union Finance Minsiter were praised more than once.
