@BillAckman Higher rates will still bring down investment in other industries regardless, and since AI investment is large but not all dominating, even if it barely impacted AI investment (unlikely IMO since so debt-financed) it’d still bring down economy-wise inflation
@jeremygiffon@patrick_oshag That makes no sense. Tons of founders are highly money-motivated, including many extremely successful ones. They may be less money motivated once they’ve “made it” but were often hungry AF beforw
@ethanagarwal Those are fund returns from Oura alone. Returns will be higher with other fund investments included. The generic VC net returns vs QQQ argument is super fair generally, but you are significantly misinterpreting the situation here
@Jkylebass@BuzzPatterson@CNN Kyle don’t you support a free and independent press? Regardless of someone’s viewpoints, politicizing public official access goes against America’s values
@PeterJ_Walker I agree the shelf-life of a model is super short. Fyi though that is not what planned obsolescence means tho. PO is something meant to degrade and be replaced. This is just ultra competitive capitalism vs purposeful inferior design
@Afinetheorem Very smart guy but I think he is selling false hope and perceived access to many here. We should absolutely celebrate academic accomplishments. Professionally this is pretty icky IMO
Private companies announcing they’ve been backed by A16z is the private markets equivalent of a public company saying they have Blackrock as a shareholder 😂
