@johnspigfarm One inch of rain my ass. Says a person that has probably never seen a true drought. Give me a flood any day of the week a lot better then watching crops and pastureland burn up and get progressively worse on a daily basis. Sorry rant over.
@pinchehonkey Be more aggressive when trying to rent ground from a retiring neighbor but don’t over extend yourself. More then likly you only get one chance to rent the farm next to you. Also know where you have an opportunity and know when you are being used by said neighbors.
@FDGenetics It’s hard to have management plans a in place when you have had 9 inches of rain in the last two years and you plant double your feed needs and all of those fail, you plant fall crops and they burn up and they have nitrates 3000+. Sorry hard to make a plan for that.
@FDGenetics No, I’m not going to disagree with you were all suffering rural America sucks right now we all need rain. But I will say some of our biggest wishes are to have grass that looks like that. I hope you have a great rest of the year and your herd is happy and healthy.
