Yesterday was our first Microscopy Focus Group meeting! Big Thanks to presenter @JuliusBogo1 for sharing his knowledge about microscopy! It was excellent work to design and integrate machine learning processes in high throughput imaging!! @UCSD_NIC@SamReckPeterson@MelsNeurons!!
This Imaging Fellows program is a unique opportunity to gain experience in advanced microscopy core facility management and to pursue a scholarly project in advanced imaging.
@christlet@MadS100tist@Maurice_Y_Lee@ManuelTHERY Totally concur. Make sure you have magnesium but not calcium in the fixation buffer, try a variety of conditions (MeOH, MeOH + PFA, PFA + Glut (with downstream NaBH4 treatments)), and be sure that your fix is mildly basic.
In case you haven't hear about this through other channels. We're looking for a new director https://t.co/hJvohBcuZG. Come work with a great group of scientists in fabulous La Jolla, CA.
Know someone interested in a light microscopy core facility position?

@christlet@NikonInst I love looking at the traces after the fact. Sometimes you can see the training error trace suddenly drop, and it's like seeing the AI's eureka moment. We find that with a Titan RTX we can train a model in about 2:30
