Our Chief delegation ended its trip by meeting with Kumamoto Governor Takashi Kimura to learn more about the region's role as a manufacturing and agricultural hub in Japan & its U.S. ties. Our time in Japan was impactful, & we’re grateful to everyone who helped make it a success!

We were grateful to be able to meet with Hon. Iwao Horii, Japan's State Minister of Foreign Affairs, while in Tokyo with our Chief of Staff delegation. It was a wonderful conversation on the U.S.-Japan relationship and how our nations can further expand their partnership.

Ambassador joined his counterparts from Japan and Australia in a QUAD roundtable organized by Former Members of Congress @USAFMC, co‑chaired by Rep. Rob Wittman @RobWittman and Rep. Ami Bera @RepBera today.

Participants underscored the vital role of the Quad both in the Indo‑Pacific and in the broader international system.

FMC is saddened by the passing of Former Member Frank J. Guarini (D-NJ, 1979-1993). A WWII combat veteran, Guarini served in New Jersey’s State Senate before being elected to the U.S. Congress, where he was an expert in international trade. Our hearts go out to his loved ones.

Yesterday, the FMC board unanimously elected @DonnaFEdwards as the newest President of FMC! We were proud to watch as outgoing president @BarbaraComstock passed the gavel on, and look forward to an amazing two years under Congresswoman Edwards’ strong leadership and vision!

The #CSGJ Chief of Staff Study Tour to Japan, a program of @usafmc supported by @SasakawaUSA, has begun in Tokyo! The delegation met with Hon. Karen Makishima and Hon. Taro Honda, Members of the Liberal Democratic Party in Japan, to learn about the party's priorities.
