@DesTechRyan But is it really 85% ideation and problem solving? I don't see much of that in the written paper. Iterative design has transformed how I teach and what the students do, but preparing them for the exam is so dispiriting - way too much content.
@hardy_alison A really interesting podcast, loved the ambition to teach till 18 but why isn't Food important enough in its own right till at least end of KS3? Why is Art for example, more important?
Richvalsky Manufacturing , a group of modern craftsmen, had a brilliant idea: to use 3D printing to create a mechanical level that helps the blind detect liquid levels.

How did this print work? Trying to print TPU struggling to get it to stick and then the bed gets totally not level but the amazing @Duet3D board manages to compensate. Kind of unintended non-planar printing π. Any ideas for getting TPU to stick (other than levelling @makersmuse
I care passionately about D&T. Listen to this podcast as the brilliant @hardy_alison tries to keep me on task and not rambling as we discuss the "solution" proposed by #pearson that will irrevocably change it's very nature. @philholton1983 https://t.co/fKXD54ihzx

Setting up the humongous new printer and discovering it has a z height of 925mm. I'll have retired by the time it's finished a print that big π€£. Thanks again to @ooznest for giving @uws_f1 an interesting challenge!
Often, I have been asked why people do not collect and make money from the plastic in the river, I tell them it is a hard & expensive task to do . Yesterday, I challenged myself- got into the water for one hour to see how much of the recyclable plastic waste Iβd be able to gather
It's fabulous that @UpperWharfedale has been supported by the brilliant @ooznest for so long - this time the bar really has been raised, almost as tall as Harry π³π
Fabulous to have the support of @filamentive for our @f1inschoolsUK team @uws_f1 they'll be able to fully test their ideas with top quality filament and in silver too - perfect!
@mrcharlwood Thanks for sharing this, some really useful ideas and resources. I'll certainly make use of some of them and will let you know if it makes a difference π
Just 2 days after doing so well at the @f1inschoolsUK regional in York, @uws_f1 are already developing and improving their car, pit display and portfolios. So proud that such a young team is showing such resilience. @DSMC_UK@ACWA_Services@MottMacDonald
