Have you ever wondered about the purpose of Itorero Indangamirwa?

Itorero Indangamirwa is a civic education program designed to instill in young people and all Rwandans the values of Rwandan culture, patriotism, national unity, selflessness, hard work, and good leadership.
For young people, Itorero Indangamirwa plays an important role because it:

✍️ Encourages love for the country and commitment to protecting it.
✍️ Teaches values such as integrity, good character, and selfless service.
✍️ Discourages harmful behaviors such as drug abuse, prostitution, and other choices that can jeopardize young people's future.
✍️ Promotes active participation in community development activities, including Umuganda.
✍️ Helps young people develop leadership skills and make wise, responsible decisions.
✍️ Strengthens national unity and reconciliation while preserving Rwanda's history so that the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi never happens again.

Itorero #Indangamirwa therefore serves as a platform for nurturing responsible citizens who are committed to serving their country and contributing to its development.

Through this program, participating youth receive training in all of these areas, preparing them to become responsible, patriotic, and productive members of society.

These are values that many believe today's younger generation needs more than ever. Without strong values, people can lose sight of their shared identity and unity, forgetting that they are one people and instead becoming divided. It is therefore important to continue teaching younger generations the values and cultural principles inherited from those whose sacrifices helped build the Rwanda we have today.

The reasons why many of us Rwandans love Paul Kagame are diverse and are based on our own experiences and perspectives. Among the many reasons often mentioned are the following:

1️⃣ Security and Peace
Rwanda has enjoyed security and stability since the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and we believe that our President's leadership has played a major role in achieving this. As a result, the peace and security we enjoy have extended beyond our borders, enabling Rwanda to contribute to peacekeeping efforts and support other countries when called upon.

2️⃣ National Development
We greatly appreciate the progress made in infrastructure, economic growth, education, healthcare, technology, and cleanliness since the country's liberation. President Kagame has provided Rwanda with a clear and sustainable vision for development.

3️⃣ Fighting Corruption
Before, Rwandans endured governments that often prioritized their own interests over those of the people. President Kagame introduced a system of governance based on accountability, responsibility, and a strong commitment to fighting corruption.

4️⃣ National Unity and Reconciliation
The unity and reconciliation programs introduced after the Genocide against the Tutsi are widely recognized as having played a significant role in rebuilding the nation and bringing Rwandans together.

5️⃣ Visionary Leadership
He is a leader with a clear vision who prioritizes practical solutions and long-term national development. We have witnessed these achievements ourselves, and we are committed to preserving and building upon them.
Considering just these few of the many accomplishments he has achieved, we can confidently say that he has created an environment where Rwandans are free to express both appreciation and constructive criticism of what is not working well.

Those who continue to spread falsehoods and attempt to discredit him should instead take time to learn from these achievements.
Let us continue to safeguard the roof that was rebuilt for us by the leader who restored it when it was leaking and gave it new life.

La cité de Kiwanja a réservé un accueil chaleureux et triomphal au Gouverneur Bahati Musanga Erasto, lors de son arrivée officielle dans la chefferie de Bwisha.
À cette occasion, le Mwami de la chefferie de Bwisha a exprimé sa reconnaissance et son soutien aux efforts déployés pour la stabilité, la sécurité et le développement du territoire. Entouré des notables coutumiers, des autorités locales et d’une foule nombreuse, il a salué l’engagement du Gouverneur en faveur de la paix et de la cohésion sociale dans la province du Nord-Kivu.
Dans son allocution, le Gouverneur a remercié les autorités coutumières et la population de Bwisha pour cet accueil mémorable, réaffirmant sa détermination à travailler en étroite collaboration avec les leaders locaux afin de répondre aux préoccupations prioritaires de la communauté.
Cette rencontre symbolise le renforcement des liens entre l’autorité provinciale et les institutions coutumières, dans une dynamique de gouvernance participative et de développement durable au Nord-Kivu.

#Le Coordonnateur politique de l’AFC/M23, Corneille Nangaa, a honoré, ce lundi 23 février 2026, la mémoire de feu Monsieur Athanase KAHANYA KIMUHA THASI, ancien Directeur provincial de l’administration du Nord-Kivu.

Cet hommage solennel a été rendu à l’occasion de la messe de requiem célébrée à la paroisse Saint-Esprit, à Goma. Le Coordonnateur politique y a salué la mémoire de ce grand notable du Kivu, enseignant de carrière, patriote exemplaire et serviteur dévoué de l’État congolais, décédé le 13 février 2026. Ce geste témoigne d’une profonde compassion, de proximité et de solidarité à l’égard des familles et des communautés durement éprouvées par cette disparition.

Au nom de l’AFC/M23, le Coordonnateur politique a présenté ses sincères condoléances à la famille biologique du défunt, à la communauté chrétienne de Goma ainsi qu’à l’ensemble de la population du Nord-Kivu. Dans son intervention, il a rendu un vibrant hommage à l’illustre disparu, soulignant que sa vie, son parcours et ses engagements doivent demeurer une source d’inspiration pour tous ceux qui œuvrent au service de la nation. Il a également rappelé que feu Athanase KAHANYA KIMUHA THASI s’est toujours distingué par sa rigueur, son sens élevé du devoir, son humilité et son abnégation, qualités qui ont marqué sa longue carrière au sein de l’administration publique et de la vie politique.

De son vivant, Monsieur Athanase KAHANYA KIMUHA THASI a servi avec loyauté et compétence de nombreuses communautés de l’Est du pays ainsi que la nation congolaise dans son ensemble. Son parcours exemplaire, empreint de courage et de fidélité aux valeurs républicaines, continuera de traverser les générations et d’inspirer tous ceux qui aspirent au développement, à la paix et à la cohésion nationale en République démocratique du Congo.⬇️⬇️
