Our new manuscript is now in print @Dev_journal! A bittersweet milestone that marks the end of my grad studies @NotreDame. It is amazing to see all the hard work poured into this project in published form and I am so grateful for everyone involved #PhDπ π§¬

New and #OpenAccess this week, @JohnPostlethw8, @drzebrafish and co explain how we can exploit zebrafish to help understand the relationship of the RAAS to #COVID19 πhttps://t.co/Lu4R0Up9rl
Frequently, #kidneydisease starts slowly and silently, and progresses over a number of years. Not everyone progresses from Stage 1 to Stage 5. Stage 5 is also known as End-Stage Kidney Disease. #WorldKidneyDay#ESKD#CKD
It was love at first hike! Joe and Brooke (Weaver) Chambers (BS β14) met as USF freshmen and are building lives together as molecular biologists! π¬π @JChambersPhD@UnBWEAVable#usffw#MolecularBiology
Greetings Kidney Researchers! I am serving as a Guest Editor for a Special Issue in #mdpicells and have began sending invites w/ publication discounts. If you did not receive an email & are interested in contributing please reach out.ππ¬

@michaelmina_lab Thank you @michaelmina_lab - I really appreciate it! Its great to see scientists π§¬empower one another and share in each other's successes. Twitter needs more people like you to spread the positivity!
ZFIN is an AMAZING resource for the entire scientific community! Researchers, please do all you can to help with the recent cuts in funding for this model organism database. Basic science fuels novel discoveries & breakthroughs in medicine! #zebrafish π
Things everyone can do to help: tell program officers for your grants how important ZFIN is to your research and encourage support for ZFIN from a variety of NIH institutes. When you publish, explicitly mention ZFIN.
While we haven't analyzed every tissue at every resolution (there may be a preference for labeling large vessels/arteries, modifications may help), we hope researchers will find this approach useful. Works in zf too. @SamEHoneycutt1 for the nice work!
Oh the virus outside is frightful
But the embryo is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow
