As someone who is Habar Awal and from the Galbeed I have to be honest and say the Bari Somaliland has been neglected.
Theyโve been neglected by:
1) the government
2) the wealthy folks from those regions

@LandofPuntites@EgehHusen Incorrect he is a salafi sheikh upon Quran and Sunnah.
It goes against the Deen to rebel and call to uprising even if the president falls into error and sin.
You donโt want to open this door with me โ๏ธ
@husseinguerilla@mari_ah And you guys are not embarrassing of course ๐
I believe the president of somalia in 10 years will be a man who is Ugandan but his Reer Apti is Hawiye
Is HSM going to stick to the agreement he made with โฆโฆ.. to not attack Somaliland? ๐๐๐๐๐ whatโs djbouti plans for awdal, since HSM said itโs IOG responsibility to handle the awdal business ๐

President Hassan Sheikhโs arrival in #Baydhabo for the inauguration of Southwest State Adan Madobe is more than a ceremonial visit. It reflects the Federal Governmentโs broader effort to strengthen its position in cooperative FMS before tackling its unresolved disputes with Jubaland & Puntland.
Madobeโs โelectionโ after months of political upheaval in Southwest State, gives Villa Somalia a close federal ally in one of #Somaliaโs most strategically important states despite ongoing security issues with SWS forces loyal to former leader Laftagareenโs consistently attacking the transitional capital.
At the same time, relations with #Galmudug appear to have stabilised after recent political understandings between Hassan Sheikh and Ahmed Qoor-Qoor, while #Hirshabelle has remained broadly aligned with the Federal Government.

The security dimension has also become more visible.
Hassan Sheikhโs visit comes amid heightened security, with Turkish support including reported F-16 deployments underscoring the growing defence partnership between Ankara and Mogadishu and the FGSโs determination to secure key political centres in the South.
Against this backdrop, Villa Somalia appears focused on consolidating influence where it has political leverage before addressing the far more difficult standoffs with Jubaland and Puntland, both of which remain at odds with Mogadishu over constitutional reforms, elections and federal authority.
The creation & deployment of the 54th division led by controversial Jimcale in Puntland indicates Villa Somalia has its eyes set on #Puntland next.
Meanwhile, much of the opposition remains concentrated on the political battle in Mogadishu.
Whether by design or circumstance, that has allowed Villa Somalia to continue reshaping the political landscape in several FMS with little political resistance.
@SomHoncho@awdalstate1884@Deee_luul Kulaha why isnโt Xassan Sheekh sending Hawiye soldiers to awdal to fight for Gadabursi to liberate Borama and baki ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
As Red Sea insecurity reshapes regional geopolitics, Somaliland's strategic relevance is increasingly being determined by security partnerships and maritime access rather than formal diplomatic recognition.
This analysis argues that "operational recognition" may be redefining the relationship between sovereignty, security, and regional order in the Horn of Africa.

@Suaadomer1 Additionally, other tribes that live amongst us are not represented politically fairly. They are Marginalised. They donโt really have a voice. Isaaq Iโd say should stick to being/becoming entrepreneurs etc.
@Suaadomer1 My honest opinion is Isaaq people are not good at politics. They also hate each other. Isaaq people fuelled with anger and animosity. How can they build something? Salaadin are being paid to divide and conquer sub clans of Isaaq. This is bigger than SL - this is a war on Isaaq.
@LandofPuntites@d_ArkAngl@mobsiye How does this work with the current geopolitics in place at the moment - Somaliland - Israel relations? I know this was pushed by Turkey a few years ago?
Do you have more info on this?
International recognition has long been treated as the gateway to #geopolitical influence. But what if function increasingly matters as much as formal status? My latest article introduces the concept of Functional Relevance and examines #Somaliland as a case study in how regional influence may develop independently of widespread international recognition.
