It was brilliant to gather with our friends @BackHeathrow in Hounslow this week. We’re working with the community to make sure Heathrow 3rd runway, with its jobs bonanza, gets built.
"It's a huge deal for working people and for trade unionism in the UK"
A pleasure to be working with @Unitetheunion & @Unite4Heathrow - backing a third runway at #Heathrow
For high quality trade union #jobs, #apprenticeships & better #transport links...join the campaign today!
The Employment Rights Bill belongs to working people. It came from our movement, and now it’s Labour govt policy – shaped by unions and backed by millions across the country. ✊
We’re not stepping back. We’re keeping up the pressure until the #NewDeal is delivered in full https://t.co/HdZ1LCsVwt
“A third runway must be about more than just improving infrastructure – it must provide real material benefits to the thousands of workers who will build and run it. That means ensuring that the jobs created are well-paid and unionised." - @UniteSharon ✊

NEW 🚨 | The Government have unveiled their roadmap to implementing the Employment Rights Bill.
And the lower earnings limit for sick pay will be removed in April 2026.
But this must be a backstop - decent employers don't need to wait for the law to change to introduce these changes.
It's time to level-up Britain’s workplaces.
Good to meet @RachelReevesMP@hmtreasury@darrenpjones to talk priorities ahead of spending review:
An industrial strategy & lower energy prices to support good jobs
Investment in public services
Delivering the employment rights bill
A decent welfare system
Fair taxes & fiscal framework to support growth.
😮 Paid 10% less than colleagues at Gatwick
💰 Employer made £35.4m in profit last year & @LHRHoldings_RBX made nearly £1bn!
@WJ_Ltd workers help thousands of passengers with restricted mobility access Heathrow Airport every day. They deserve decent pay & their employer & the airport can afford it. No wonder they are striking & marching in their hundreds!
Pls give them a share ✊
Great that Labour has decided to put working people first and build the badly needed 3rd runway at Heathrow.
Heathrow is Britain’s biggest workplace, and the biggest unionised workplace, so of course the party of working people should commit to expansion https://t.co/VOLeagVUqP
The same newspapers who scream increases in the national minimum wage will damage the economy, are happy to go to the barricades for a tax break for Clarkson, Dyson & friends.
