@iPullRank Great Q&A today. Did the Leak have an element that uses the ratio of: number of indexed pages to # of pages Google discovered. For example, GSC shows 25k pages discovered & only 255 pages indexed. Is there an element that looks at this ratio as a measure of quality?
@rustybrick Hi Barry have you thought about changing the SMX Keynote to What We Can Learn from Google Leak and invite the amazing Michael King @iPullRank to join you? Or can Michael change his presentation from RAG to What I Have Learned from Google API Leak?

Oh wow. Now it all makes sense.
Because I have a Pixel phone, I am starting to see some of the AI related changes. Google is pushing out.
When I open up my phone there is a search bar right in front of me. If I type something I get a regular search. But if I tap the microphone I get assistant.
Assistant acts like a librarian that decides what you're most likely to find helpful. Search is like letting you browse the whole library. I commented this week on how assistant is like a mini SGE that just chooses one feature - whichever one is most likely to be helpful to you. Perhaps it's a carousel of websites, often one. Or maybe a map or a YouTube video.
Now it all makes sense why Google didn't put links in the SGE answer that was stitched together from websites. Because what we saw in Labs was never going to go into production because Bard will replace that.
SGE is just one giant test, learning which parts of it people are finding helpful so that it can improve assistant. Wow.
"...while Google is REALLY good at understanding user intent, SGE is far from it. Both algos are based on ML, & my assumption is that it might take a while for Googlers to find a way to merge these two ecosystems." Great insights by @bart_goralewicz https://t.co/VA7m5aUC71 #SEO
Great post by @bart_goralewicz on SEO fluff not working anymore. If the content isn't truly helpful, remove it. Google is not that stupid anymore. https://t.co/FW6q1uMGOa

We worked w/ @LiveDatos to analyze millions of ChatGPT visits; some fascinating takeaways:
- Traffic's down (not just b/c school's out) 🏫
- Programming assistance is ~30% of use ⌨️
- #DnD and #rpg use-cases are surprisingly popular 🐉
