@EmmaVitz In NZ definitely fine. It's fridge temperatures overnight in winter. But it should be fine next day as long as it's not too warm inside.

@morganfrnchstgg Very cool! I should pay more attention to those reports / presentations. I assumed it must have been reasonably competitive if industry was investing in it in NZ. I'm looking forward to more off-shore wind too.

@morganfrnchstgg I do wonder what the overall generation cost is for solar like this? (Per kWh over the life of the panels). Like is it starting to get competitive with new wind / geothermal generation?

@morganfrnchstgg @MatthewWithy I guess that it's pure profit going to them. They get such a cheap rate for power. They just need to have a forecaster who knows how much to reduce capacity by and how much the spot price will drop by.

@stevebiddle Yes it might be currently taken up by "rich". The aim of it is to increase the percentage of EVs in the fleet though. And a good chunk of it is being used on discount leafs from Japan. And reduced luxury EV prices to fit within the subsidy.
