Very excited to share our latest work published today on Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle!
Very fruitful multi-lab collaboration.

@Metabo_Dave@TrumanLab Same. Biorender became so omnipresent to the point that all illustrations are now all boring. All papers looking the same: with same mouse cartoon, same myofiber, same cross-section of muscle.
Are we getting data for papers or to make a new Biorender graphical abstract?
@RobWust@LykkeSylow @OchDr Anything close to 10% may be considered volumetric muscle loss (VML)? Mouse models of VML are usually in that range 10 to 20%. I think one would probably want to be in 5% or less?
Great Editorial from @NicoPillon summarizing our recent and past manuscripts. Cool figures!
"Mitochondrial response to inactivity‐induced muscle disuse and exercise training."
Much deserved @ChantalPileggi

"Muscle cells on a tight budget: Cutting expenses during hypoxia."

Editorial on "Adaptive exhaustion during prolonged intermittent hypoxia causes dysregulated skeletal muscle protein homeostasis" https://t.co/4Rrd1MRycG
Minimal adaptation of the molecular regulators of mitochondrial dynamics in response to unilateral limb immobilisation and retraining in middle-aged men https://t.co/hlv7JExaT6
Very excited to share our new work examining how changes in pro-inflammatory and pro-resolving lipid mediators change after volumetric muscle loss! This work was led by @UMBME students Jesus Castor Macias & @JLarouche13! 1/n

LAST CALL! I am still looking for a PhD candidate to join my lab this winter. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in muscle biology, contact me at my email >>>> https://t.co/qNGh2qIHOr
Send me your CV along your research interests.

I'll be recruiting a PhD and a Masters students for next winter semester in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences program at @oaklandu @OaklandBiology. If you are interested in basic muscle biology & ribosomes, consider reaching out to me (DM/email). Please RT #myotwitter

Another great paper using #ribosomeprofiling
The authors investigated mRNA translation in later differentiating cortical neurons (using NPCs) and found they rely heavily on translation regulation to modulate genes/pathways needed for neuronal maturation

@KatsuFunai You are likely experiencing Chromostereopsis (search that on google images, pretty cool). Some 2D images may seen 3D to some of us depending on the colour scheme (like blue and red). Check if that is still the same w/out glasses. I can only see that with glasses.
Our @JPhysiol paper titlted 'Genetic and epigenetic regulation of skeletal muscle ribosome biogenesis with exercise' was recommended @FacultyOpinions
Thanks to Dr. Brendan Egan for the recommendation!
