@brandenflasch@JohnRav Maybe more a US thing. The Volvo has a minimum range of 600 km (over 7 hours of highway driving). The trucks have to stop after 4.5 hours for 45 minutes.
MCS is not rolled out yet, but every truck manufacturer announced it.
@brandenflasch@danWpriestley@DBurkland@TailosiveEV@SawyerMerritt Interesting. So a MCS charger need to implement 2 different physical interfaces.
The new interface does not make sense to me. MCS cables are usually shorter than CCS cables (HYC1000). So the PLC in MCS should be more robust than in CCS.
@gonglei89 @drdomicile The statistic does not make sense in this context. I do not know a single SiC device fab in Norway or Romania. On the other hand, Austria (Infineon Villach) and Italy (STM Catania) are completely missing
@tphuang Which flow? The HW device seems to be in a TO247 package, which needs to be connected to a cooling plate. It is a discrete device and not a power module. The maximum DC current depends on Rdson and the thermal capability of the whole system.
