Across all recent timeframes (1d, 7d, and 30 days) ETH is up ~3× more than BTC.
It also outperformed most large caps.

Hyperliquid's revenue curve is hard to ignore. The real test is whether this holder revenue stays durable once perp volumes cool and incentives normalize.

2024: $665M

And inside that $2.15B bar, the thick blue block at the bottom is Hyperliquid ~ roughly $843 - 850M. That’s almost 40% of every single dollar that got passed to tokenholders across the entire space last year.
2026 YTD is already at $926M and they’re still the largest slice.
Cumulative holders revenue for Hyperliquid is now sitting at ~$1.173B.
Most of that is pure Assistance Fund buybacks. 99% of fees going straight into buying and removing $HYPE from circulation.
While everyone was arguing about which memecoin had the better narrative, one protocol was generating more real value for its holders than the rest of DeFi combined in some periods.
This is what actual product-market fit looks like on a chart.

What if the AI bottleneck is a credit rating?
If you’re tracking AI infra as an investor, this is the signal: the constraint may not be GPUs. It may be boring finance.
Oracle reportedly signed a $300B infrastructure deal with OpenAI, then cut about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, while trying to fund the data centers needed to deliver it.
The Wisconsin detail is where it gets interesting. A planned nearly 1-gigawatt Oracle data center in Port Washington needs a power-grid connection, but regulators refused to waive collateral rules. Oracle’s S&P rating dropped from BBB to BBB-, under the A- threshold, so it may have to post more than $7B in cash collateral or a letter of credit just to connect to the grid. Maintenance cost: over $100M a year.
This rewrites the AI infrastructure trade a bit. Everyone talks about GPUs, model quality, and who has the biggest OpenAI contract. The quieter variable is who eats the stranded-asset risk if a massive data center fails, slows down, or walks away. Wisconsin regulators are basically saying: existing power customers are not your free hedge.
So the next phase of AI may trade less like a clean software boom and more like project finance. Credit ratings, utility commissions, exit penalties, special rates, and collateral rules can decide whether a model gets enough compute. At least 24 US states have already approved versions of these protections for heavy electricity users.
My read: the real AI winners need more than chips and demand. They need balance sheets that utilities, bond markets, and regulators trust.
