@RestIsPolitics @campbellclaret @RoryStewartUK I was in a Department's Private Office in 1997 - we had all been excited about a Labour Government and had been busy re-writing briefing etc based on our reading of speeches etc. Why were the Spads (more than the Ministers) so hostile to Civil Servants when they got in?
