In our quest to establish a modern, people-centered and effective metropolitan police unit for our capital city, Nairobi, we arrived this morning in London on a learning tour of the London Metropolitan Police Service.
In particular, we would like to draw lessons from its successes in community policing, intelligence-led policing, counterterrorism, multi-agency coordination and integration of technology in command centers.
We were received by the High Commissioner of Kenya to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland H.E. Maurice Makoloo, and other senior embassy staff.
I am accompanied by National Government Coordination PS Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim and DIG-APS Gilbert Masengeli, among other high-ranking government officials.

Happy 100th birthday Sir David Attenborough.
My favourite clip this week has been Sir David with the gorillas in Rwanda - showing his connection with nature, excellence as a communicator, always reminding us of what we need to do protect and preserve the natural world around us.
We wish Sir David Attenborough a very happy 100th birthday.
His passion for the natural world has galvanised international action to preserve it like nobody else.
