This was something my parents instilled in me at a young age. I grew up in the vibrant city of Chennai, India. It was a comfortable life for the most part, but in those early years, we had some challenges. We worried about severe drought and whether the water truck would arrive in time, and for us, technology came slowly. We had to wait years to get a telephone, a TV, a refrigerator. Each changed our lives in meaningful ways. My parents never let the constraints limit my imagination of what was possible. It's the reason I even let myself dream I could one day work in a faraway place called Silicon Valley.
When the call from Stanford came, my father spent the equivalent of a year's salary to buy my ticket - @sundarpichai

Multiple layers of frisking.
Multi-level oversight with direct monitoring from the Prime Minister’s office.
Yes, you read it right. But these are not arrangements to buy high-level, classified, military-grade software. These are the arrangements made by the Ministry of Education for the NEET retest scheduled for 21st June 2026.
Every student would appreciate the government's efforts to prevent paper leaks by implementing additional security measures and enhanced monitoring. But an increase in scrutiny before entry, extended frisking, and an increase in the overall exam time from 180 minutes to 195 minutes will only add to their already ballooning exam pressure.
While the government has taken measures to contain leaks, they have forgotten the additional burden they have imposed on a young student before they take up an assessment, one that they have spent months preparing for, dissolving the entire purpose of our exam system and the NEP 2020’s goal to reduce “Exam Stress”.
Despite all these arrangements for the examination, there are issues with downloading the admit cards, and NTA has assured students that it will resolve them at the earliest.
Yes, there are challenges that demand meaningful solutions. However, I am concerned that the approach devised for the NEET retest may not resolve the issue; instead, it risks creating a new set of problems.

Yeh ladka bahut talented hai.
Kya woh abhi bhi Nainital ki sadkon par kaam kar raha hai?
Main na sirf uski padhai mein madad karna chahta hoon, balki jaadu mein uski dilchaspi ko bhi badhava dena chahta hoon.
Kyon na woh duniya ke behtareen jaadugaron mein se ek bane?
Kya koi mujhe usse aur uske mata-pita se sampark karne mein madad kar sakta hai?

Dear Chief Minister Joseph Vijay - Are you a victim of sheer incompetence or coalition compulsions?
Appointing Mr. Arun IPS as the DVAC Director is arguably the most disastrous decision taken by @CMOTamilnadu so far. It instantaneously wipes out much of the goodwill generated through several other sensible decisions taken by this government.
I hear that pressure came from @thirumaofficial to push for Mr. Arun to occupy what is arguably one of the most strategically important positions in the bureaucracy.
What exactly are you afraid of, @CMOTamilnadu? That @thirumaofficial will withdraw his support? What can a party with just two seats realistically do against a government backed by the kind of unprecedented public mandate that @TVKVijayHQ has received?
Even in the worst-case scenario, if coalition compulsions prevent you from sticking to the path of Dharma and good governance, you can always go back to the people.
In fact, if fresh elections were held today, one could argue that @TVKVijayHQ would be in a position to sweep the polls with more than 200 seats and govern with unbridled freedom, unburdened by coalition pressures and political bargaining.
So, the question remains:
Are you becoming a victim of coalition compulsions, or is this simply a case of poor judgment?
It is still not too late. Please identify a clean, credible, and professionally respected officer and appoint him as the DVAC Director.
The people voted for change. Do not let them feel they voted for more of the same! @CMOTamilnadu
