This has worked really well for us in our early years setting. With recruitment and retention issues a problem across the sector we looked to be more flexible. Our teachers all work 4 days a week. Once a month they all have a 5 day weekend. If they need a day off they swap. ๐ช
๐ THE 4 DAY WORK WEEK HAS HIT IRELAND WITH ASTONISHING RESULTS. ๐
The Irish Findings are as follows:
โข 100% of the companies involved are continuing with the 4-Day work week โก
โข 85% of companies which reported data on revenue reported growth in revenue ๐ (1/X)
@ValerieGaynor@EmmaGleeson7@capaco@acpire @dcediy Lots of factors though individual to each service. I pay 10k py rent while my friend same business model pays 30k. Therefore the wages I pay have always been better than hers. I know a provider who closed one service in Tallaght this year because the community hall wanted 52k๐
@SandraCully1 @eilishbalfe Aug 19th to be included in first payment. However, it may be pushed out by 5 days because they had to iron out glitches. Especially at step 6/7.
@AmyMolloyIndo Greedy providers? Did You allow providers the right to reply?Or did you just take the ladies word for it? 98% of the childcare sector is Owned and operated by women. Women who have dedicated their lives to a system that is underfunded by government. This article Is half written.
@AnnetteCoyle25@CircleTimeCork@MurphyDunne@rodericogorman@isme_ie It depends how you define worse off. electricity bill goes up by 30% the rate of inflation is expected to hit 8% in the coming weeks. I have to pay my staff statutory 3 days Sick leave plus I have to replace those staff to comply with ratios. We Needed an increase. #WhoWillPay
@AnnetteCoyle25@MurphyDunne@rodericogorman@isme_ie We have been told that all services will be brought up so that they have a neutral position. This does not take into account soaring inflation higher utility costs or our new obligations to pay sick leave. A neutral position is simply not good enough. We needed to see an increase
