Advances in 3D mapping technology just allowed scientists to discover something huge right under our noses: the largest deep-sea coral reef known to date. How big? Nearly three times the size of Yellowstone. https://t.co/6iBTbDw3mo
With our new MatterGen model, we're applying the next generation of AI to one of the biggest challenges in materials science: increasing the rate at which we design materials with desired properties.
Microsoft has reimagined our infrastructure with an end-to-end systems approach to meet our customer’s unique AI and cloud needs. With the launch of our new AI Accelerator, Azure Maia, and cloud native CPU, Azure Cobalt, alongside our continued partnerships with silicon providers, we can now provide even more choice and performance: https://t.co/TMULZmvoup
@christianhern That’s the core thesis of @Techstars ;)
The sooner you can connect founders with great mentors and investors, who themselves know more great people, the better.
The network flywheels compound so much faster that they dramatically increase the chances of success.
@ConnorPM@christianhern@Techstars Agree and it works for a variety of investment scenarios. I had the opportunity to be a mentor at Techstars on the early days of Azure. The structure, framework, and the vetting of mentors. My network and my co-mentor we were assigned to co-founders. Networking is the magic.
After 371 days in space—the longest single trip ever for one of our @NASA_Astronauts—Frank Rubio is heading home on Wednesday, Sept. 27: https://t.co/ueUsDRWR1M
Rubio is scheduled to touch down at 7:17am ET (1117 UTC). Watch with us on X and https://t.co/z1RgZwQkWS.
Still true today.. 'The conservation of natural resources is the fundamental problem. Unless we solve that problem it will avail us little to solve all others.' –Theodore Roosevelt, 1907, addressing the Deep Waterway Convention, Memphis. https://t.co/sgFBizhntQ
This new mobile app from @earthrangertech is already transforming how conservationists respond to ecosystem disasters. It was recently used in response to an oil spill impacting 20 marine protected areas. https://t.co/4nvBaDMcav
Dive into the hidden world of mysterious pink river dolphins. Advanced AI and acoustic monitoring unveil the secrets of boto and tucuxi dolphins without tagging, providing a less invasive way to study the unique behaviors of these endangered species. https://t.co/IjnbLbaeMZ
Physicist Louis de Broglie was one of the pioneers of quantum physics best known for the discovery of the wave nature of electrons and the suggestion that all matter has wave properties. This concept is known as the de Broglie hypothesis or the de Broglie relation.
It forms the basis of the quantum mechanics and explains phenomena such as the diffraction and interference of electrons. It also implies that particles can have both wave and particle characteristics, a phenomenon called wave-particle duality. De Broglie’s idea was inspired by the work of Albert Einstein, who showed that light can behave as both waves and particles. De Broglie extended this idea to matter and proposed that the wavelength of a particle is inversely proportional to its momentum. He derived a mathematical formula to express this relation, which is now known as the de Broglie equation.
To reduce the threat exposure of your software, do as much as you can early in the lifecycle to find and eradicate vulnerabilities, and do as much as you can later in the lifecycle. Each layer of security is needed.
