📍Together, we can #EndMalaria.
Today, PFTH was in @MusanzeDistrict, Nkotsi Sector, leading a community outreach campaign to strengthen #Malaria prevention and encourage early healthcare-seeking in hotspot communities.
Nkotsi is one of the 25 sectors in the country with highest malaria incidence.
Working with local leaders, Community Health Workers and partners, we are empowering communities with the knowledge and tools they need to prevent malaria and save lives.

Menstrual health is a right, not a taboo.
🩸Menstruation is a natural and healthy part of life experienced by millions of women and girls worldwide. It is not a disease, a curse, or something to be hidden. Yet, many girls and women still face stigma, discrimination, and misinformation that limit their access to the knowledge, products, and support they need to manage their periods safely and with dignity.
Menstrual health is a human right. Every girl and woman deserves access to accurate information, affordable menstrual products, clean water, adequate sanitation facilities, and supportive environments at home, in school, at work, and within the community. When we challenge myths and break the silence surrounding menstruation, we empower girls and women to participate fully in education, leadership, and everyday life without fear, shame, or exclusion.
Let us raise our voices to normalize conversations about menstruation, end period stigma, and advocate for menstrual equity for all. Together, we can build a future where every girl and woman is respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
✨ Menstruation is natural.
✨ Periods are normal.
✨ Dignity is non-negotiable.
✨ Menstrual health is a right, not a taboo.

“I would like to remind all of us that meetings like these, and the discussions we have had, should not become a place where we come to repeat ourselves with no outcome. They should not turn into routine gatherings, where we come, talk about problems, identify solutions, and then a year later return only to find that everything is still the same.
Let’s examine ourselves. Many of you here have the capacity and the technical knowledge. But then something comes along and removes that capability, and suddenly one wonders where it went, where it disappeared to.
When you have capacity, knowledge, and everything that is needed, yet nothing tangible comes out of it; when you cannot point to where you were yesterday and where you are today, and be able to say we are moving forward and progress is visible; then there is a problem.
What is said and discussed here must lead to visible actions that show we are making progress. We should hold one another accountable, asking questions and providing answers, with the objective of constantly moving forward.” President Kagame | Closing of #Umushyikirano2026
