Travelled yesterday in 12432 Rajdhani Express from Vadodara to Vasai Road. Had included jain meal while booking ticket. The food was uncooked and bad in taste. Standards are so poor that I will never book a meal again on Indian Railways.

I booked 2 tickets for my mother in law (senior citizen) in 3 AC. Total cost was ₹1565. This included UPI transaction charges as well.

We cancelled her ticket and we got back ₹1130. This means we spent ₹430 (27% of the paid value even though we are not travelling)

Now, why am I sharing this? This is why.

- Her ticket will eventually be bought by someone else, who also pays ₹1565 or maybe much much more in Tatkal.
- Two People who are in RAC position also pay the FULL amount but share their seat with someone else.
- The Cancellation Charge is too High which becomes a burden for Tax Paying Citizens.

I request @AshwiniVaishnaw ji to consider the following:

- Please bring back Senior Citizen Subsidy. It really would acknowledge their contribution.
- Please reduce the cancellation charges, since you anyway recover the amount from the WL/RAC passengers. It should not be more than 10% of the cost paid (>24 hours before departure).
- We pay transaction charges of ₹20 - ₹30 for every ticket we buy using UPI. This needs to be much lower & this does not get refunded back.
- For RAC passengers, it is unfair to pay the full amount and yet share the seat with another passenger. Please refund the extra amount back to them, since you can use the technology to do that.

If you do the above, you do not lose much, but you stand to gain respect and blessings of Crores of Indians whose money goes to waste.

Request my audience to Repost this widely, tag relevant ministers and let us make this happen.

NEW LOOT PLAN | Let's do some simple math. ₹20,000 Cr for 40,000 coaches translates to ₹50 lakh per coach.

The requirement is 6 to 8 cameras per coach. Assuming 8 cameras per coach, this works out to an average cost of ₹6.25 lakh per camera.

Even if we consider 8 industrial-grade IP cameras with an NVR, the cost shouldn't exceed ₹50,000 per coach or even double that including labour, making the total expense ₹200 to ₹400 Cr at most.

Unless they plan to install two cameras per seat, this seems like a mega loot planned by @AshwiniVaishnaw and team or perhaps some zeroes have been misplaced in the article.

I ordered a pair of crocs from @Flipkart which was an open box delivery. Received a completely different product (of lower price and different style) and the delivery partner denied to take it back. They were not allowing a return so I tried contacting Flipkart help centre twice.
