@ch_brauer Does this apply to a new account focussed on lead gen with no historical data too? I mean for "Maximize Conversions" to work, the account must have some conversions, right? Some recommend running maximize clicks/manual cpc to get sufficient data & then switch to maximise conv.
Jawan is a masterclass in masala movie making. Thank you @Atlee_dir for presenting @iamsrk like this. Beyond my wildest imagination & expectations!!! 🤩 Even the usually silent multiplex audience couldn't stop screaming. So many whistle-worthy moments!! Made my day. ❤️
#JawanDay
Thoughts on a yellow dawn.
One day, maybe, when my son is older, if he likes cricket, I'll tell him stories of this team and what it meant to his old man. I'll tell him the legend of MS and why we call him Thala, the leader. I'll tell him stories of Suresh Raina's lofted sixes..
Meditation took years before gaining wide acceptance.
VR could follow a similar path.
The ideas that democratised meditation, might also accelerate VR:
1/ LINGUISTIC INFRASTRUCTURE
When nomenclature shifted (from 'Ashrams' and 'Gurus' to 'Mindfulness' and 'Breathwork'), the strangeness surrounding ancient practices was dispelled.
This paved the way for more modern and socially palatable associations.
For VR, most pundits comment on how the tech is not quite there, which is fair.
But VR's lack of arrival is also a function of broken stories and missing metaphors.
All the right bits could align in a perfectly simulated sky but it wouldn't matter if the words pointing to them aren't in constellation.
2/ BUILDING FOR CULTURE
Meditation underwent a usability change as opposed to a ‘core product’ improvement.
The underlying wisdom existed for millennia, but in formats that were dense and culturally inaccessible.
By turning complex techniques into simple exercises that fit into daily life, meditation moved from the shade of the Bodhi Tree into the spotlight of modernity.
Similarly, the gulf between present day and VR future can be bridged through innovation.
For example, the need for friendlier headsets is commonly cited. Such a breakthrough would naturally bring more people into virtual wonderlands.
FINAL MUSING
The forces that brought meditation to the world could also summon the necessary consciousness shift for VR.
It's actually rather poetic:
The playbook that closed our eyes, will now open them to new realities.
What a magical time ✨
@Theholisticpsyc Where/how does one begin to start becoming a mature autonomous adult? Is it different for different people and contexts? Or are there some proven practices one can follow irrespective of the nature of childhood trauma?
i'm seeing lots of ChatGPT prompts that go like this:
"suggest X keywords we should target, taking into account our SEO strategy and competitors"
what do people think ChatGPT is actually doing with these prompts? accessing the Ahrefs API? running an industry analysis?
it can't even access live web pages!
these prompts generate responses that sound credible, but there is no data or research underpinning the output. it's *roleplaying* a content strategist, but not actually becoming one
which is super cool - but maybe don't trust your content strategy to a roleplaying game
@EspreeDevora I came across her in the book, Screw Being Shy as its author, @markymetry recommended her to learn more about trauma. Then discovered her content first on Instagram. And I think she did grow there first. Only in the past few months, started seeing more of her on Twitter as well.
@0xCaryn I wrote something similar a couple of months back based on learnings from vipassana. Maybe it could help? Would love to know what you think. :) https://t.co/UBu5nIQab1
@daretorant Haha, I had to include it. That is the only movie that can lift me up when I am in the darkest, deepest pits of despair.😬 I also wanted to include Batman Begins and Chak De! India too but did not want to come across as biased toward SRK. 😅
8 films to get to know me:
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Interstellar
It's a Wonderful Life
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa
Rocky IV
Veer-Zaara
Love Actually
Tamasha
Special Mention: Everything Everywhere All at Once
(Confident that it'd stand the test of time & climb up on the list!)
Why do article intros have to be 150 words max? Why can't we add "fluff" to an article, like humor, sentence pauses, or dramatic statements?
In our fight to be so templatized, we’re losing our ability to be unique and engaging.
If it adds to the story, I say, "Why not?"
Reminder: self-employment is great! with many perks! so much control!
But it's not for everyone. It has its cons. It might not fit every phase of life.
Don't let the internet glamorize it without knowing the full picture.
