Genuinely hoping every woman becomes this mom.
Society’s obsession with marriage needs to end.
Someone recently disguised an insult as “advice,” I reminded them that this one thing does not erase everything else I have accomplished. Not being married does not make me a failure
My mum has never pressured my sisters or me about marriage before and honestly, I find it suspicious 😭
Because almost every Nigerian mother I know behaves like marriage is a JAMB admission.
My friends can’t even drink water in peace without hearing:
‘When are you bringing a man home?’
But my mum?
Silence 😭
So out of curiosity, I told her:
‘Mummy, I don’t think I want to marry or even have children.’
Omo I was preparing for war.
I expected:
‘God forbid!’
‘Who offended you?’
‘You must marry!’
‘Who will take care of you when you’re old?!’
This woman just looked at me and said:
'Okay o. Marriage is not easy. If you don’t want it, don’t let society pressure you.’
😭😭😭
I almost checked if this woman was truly from Ijebu because what kind of emotionally stable response was that???
@originalproflle Ni oro kan sha, they will continue to negotiate with terrorist as they have no spine. When Adelabu sister and his kids were kidnapped, they could go in with lethal force to rescue them but poor man pikin can suffer just a lirru bit until we forget about them.

@i_amhordun The idea of the show is to ask very difficult questions that the guest cannot answer so they eat the spicy wings or they have no choice than to answer
We must not allow this case to disappear from public attention. The allegation by a female UNIOSUN student of assault during a military raid on her hostel demands a transparent and thorough investigation.
The uniform must never become a shield for violence, abuse or impunity. The Army announced an investigation, but Nigerians deserve to know: What is the status? Have those responsible been identified? What support and access to justice have been provided to the survivor?
Safe Schools must mean protection from all forms of violence, including abuse by those entrusted with protecting us.
We are still watching. We are still asking questions. We will not forget.

All religious schools;Islamic, Protestant, catholic, seventh day Adventist etc schools force their student to worship & obey their belief irrespective of their own religion. We are all guilty so why the outrage
Govt should take religion out of schools, maybe we would all have peace
