The great Guyanese Marxist #WalterRodney (1942-1980) was born on #March23 , 81 years ago today. He was an important pan-Africanist Marxist who wrote some of the most important books on African history, Guyanese history & radicalism. He was assassinated on 13 June, 1980 aged 38.
