@cullenroche You can wear whatever you want when you ride. Buy some MTB clothing if you dont like spandex. It is mostly for aero. I try to avoid time spent on the road and seek out trails and gravel. The risk is mostly transferred to myself then. Also more forest time is better for the mind
@DeathStripMall@HML_Compounder Pretty easy to compare vs the expected performance of bonds plus dbmf adjusted for the corected exposure. Are you saying the underlying did poorly or somehow the implementation is flawed?
@BackwoodsEnginr noise and bandwidth tradeoff and reciever sensitivity where it comes from. Tie it into link budget analysis and antenna gain. As a example I would use a satellite comms link to cell phone vs a starlink terminal for example
@zachmelloh26 Yeah, except your etf now sits with a lower tax basis. It is like depreciation in real estate, you save until you want to sell and the. You pay your share via depreciation recapture
@NomadicSamuel@NProtasoni great conversation. One thing that wasn't mentioned is the US estate tax liability when foreigners own US based assets (stocks, ETFs, bonds, RE). The exclusion is only $60k, unlike for US residents. People seem not to think about it. I don't know if it is enforced much.
There’s quite a lot of hype around the CTA’s which got a chunk of the cocoa trade
There’s some truly retarded nonsense going around (even for trend followers) especially about the one manager who beat everyone this month
Let's wash our brains out with soap

@NomadicSamuel It is easy to evaluate looking back. The real issue is how to spot poorly implemented strats going forward. T0ns of survivorship bias. I think that keeps people away from alts in general.
