With the support of Korea Hope Foundation, IST in partnership with @CIRD_Insects trained 100 vendors from Gayaza in Black Soldier Fly (BSF) production innovation!
What a powerful week it was in Soroti! 📍
Last week, IST with support from @fesuganda , concluded its engagement on inclusive market governance starting with a 2-day reflective session for market leaders and culminating in a high-impact dialogue with over 70 participants.
for inclusive growth and transformation. The day featured moving testimonies from women and youth vendors, who described how our collaborative interventions have transformed their market stalls into engines of social empowerment and economic opportunity.
Last week, IST together with kalerwe market women vendors welcomed a high-level delegation from @WeEffectEA ,@Sida, @ssnc_global & the Embassy of Sweden to Kalerwe Market. The field visit offered a vivid demonstration of how IST’s innovative projects align with the global agenda
I used to cut down trees for firewood because it felt like the only option. But today, I make briquettes and use an energy-saving stove. I use less fuel, save more money and protect the trees around me. As a woman, I am a mother of the earth,I have a responsibility to protect it.
We saw the women molding small, black-rounded balls they call briquettes. As men, we were shocked by the results. What used to take two hours now takes only 30 minutes.
