This was the best class I took all semester! Very fulfilling and laid out in the best way possible. Thank you @ProfessorDEG for teaching us all about ethics this semester! I wish all of my classes were like this one! Have a safe a wonderful break everyone! #i2e21
@i2e21Ke We need to always have an open mind. People who fight science especially! Like why argue with someone who has spent many years studying something just to have someone say, but I Google it and you are wrong. We need to trust the experts in all areas. #i2e21
@JonathanDaity With that thought it is the same way for anyone. If you stay in the same are all your life you may only know things from the perspective of your hometown. Everyone should live outside of there hometown at least once in their life to be in a different environment. #i2e21
@SydneyEthics I think it depends on perspective. Someone on the outside could think the other person was being brave, when that person was never scared at all. #i2e21
@SohamSh16719003 Honestly, seeing that it is all they have ever known, it makes sense for them to deny what they are being told. For most people they have to see things to believe them, but most people are also very stubborn and think they can be the only ones who are right about things. #i2e21
@andrewheller24 I think with death it is an end all, and you don't experience anything after it. But with public speaking you make a mistake and you could get embarrassed and laughed at for the rest of your life if it was really major of a mistake. In some cases embarrassment is worse #i2e21
@JulianaJjdenney It all just comes down to opinion, and how you personally would think. I think if you favor a particular opinion that was made, then you would most likely pick that as the more advanced judgment. #i2e21
@Gracedom3102 I feel like it would be like positive reinforcement. You do something good and you get praise for it and have it explained to you why it was the good thing to do. After awhile you just will do the right thing because it is what you feel you should do. #i2e21
@Gracedom3102 I kinda agree more with the little girl, she brought up a good point. If he steals the drugs he will most likely go to jail, and the person he is trying to save will not have happiness. #i2e21
@Ragnaros2587 I try to do that and it doesn't always work out. Spiders and heights are just too scary haha! But yes overall facing your fears do normally help you get over them. #i2e21
I believe that the general interests conception is inconvenient because as much as we don't want to lose our interests, and life structure, it might be the best option to let safety take the place of our interests even if it is just for a short bit #i2e21
@Corbin78763532 Anything could be worth a lot of money if people are willing to pay for it. You could say that a famous person touched a towel and someone would pay a lot of money for it even if they didn't actually touch it. #i2e21
@JRJw44 Yeah, there are definitely many different views that can say anything is moral and also anything can be not moral. It would all depend on the individual's thoughts and ways of thinking. #i2e21
@JRJw44 @ProfessorDEG It would be possible. Even thinking about the Bible and other religious texts, they could have changed meaning throughout them. But I guess we will never know. #i2e21
@KelzPag I heard the band didn't even stop, which made it very difficult for the paramedics to go in and help the hurt people. So I feel like the band could be held at least partially liable for what happened. The venue should be held liable as well because they over sold tickets #i2e21
@KelzPag Can people in a nursing home vote? If not, that would be a right that is taken away. What other things can they not do? Besides that and not being able to come and go as the please? #i2e21
@ethicsub We could probably have many more modules breaking down certain concepts into many more chunks, we just don't have enough time in the semester to go too much more indepth into those topics #i2e21
@ethicsub Yeah it could get confusing sometimes talking about constraints, you can also have a constraint on just about anything. In the same regard as some mixing up what a false negative and false positive is within the science field. #i2e21
