Last night's #monsoon storms here in the #Tucson#Arizona metro area were crazy! Lots of rain, wind, dust and cloud-to-cloud lightning. I chased for hours yesterday and came up empty in the lightning category but I did manage to grab a beauty of a #sunset... #azwx@MallorySchnell@WaldrefWeather
Lots of rain for Southeast Arizona, especially Tucson! Check out the totals from this afternoon.
Lingering showers will stick around for another hour. There is water flowing in the streets and washes! Careful when traveling this evening!
Turn Around, Don't Drown! #azwx
⛅️Good morning Tucson! Did you look up and wonder where the sun is? Don't worry, the sun is still here, it is hidden by dust from NM! This is due to an inversion, keeping the atmosphere from mixing the dust out! (1/2) #azwx
Monsoonal moisture on the way! A Blowing Dust Advisory is in effect from 3 PM to 8 PM this evening due to anticipated thunderstorm outflows. Storms will fire along a Nogales to Phoenix line after 2 PM. Otherwise, expect another hot and windy day for southeast Arizona. #azwx
