Damage to Boikiy is seemingly considerably less than I expected this morning. Superstructure is largely intact, so we are not looking at a Provorny scenario.

Internal damage can still be significant, but that remains an unknown.

CENTCOM disabled the sanction-connected Botswana-flagged M/T Lexie on 2 June in international waters in the Arabian Gulf, preventing it from reaching Kharg Island, Iran's primary oil export terminal.

The crew ignored repeated U.S. warnings over a 24-hour period. A U.S. aircraft fired a single AGM-114 Hellfire missile into the engine room, disabling propulsion.

CENTCOM released FLIR footage of the strike.

The targeting reticle holds steady on the engine room through terminal phase and impact, consistent with laser-guided Hellfire employment from a stabilized platform.

CENTCOM identifies the delivery platform only as "a U.S. aircraft."

Weapon choice, footage characteristics, and the 24-hour monitoring period indicate the MQ-9 Reaper as the highest-probability strike platform.

[Unconfirmed] Ukrainian sources report Russian corvette 🇷🇺RFS Boykiy was struck by 🇺🇦drones while alongside in Kronstadt naval base today. 2 other vessels damaged.

This is the first drone attack on the Baltic Fleet, which has been involved in escorting Russian shadow fleet tankers through the English Channel.
