Starting off this years virtual Walk, Run, and Ride to Remember bright and early. September 1 - 26 to raise awareness for the National Peace Officers Memorial. @CanadianR2R
While COVID restrictions will keep us from riding as a large group again this year, we will continue to honour our fallen heroes.
Thanks to Presenting Sponsor Futurecom & Gold Sponsor @Axon_Canada for your support.
Stay tuned as we start our rides in September. #HeroesinLife
Members of the Waterloo Cycling team completed 70, 130, and 183 km rides in support of Wounded Warriors - Ride for Mental Health. We are #InThisTogether and always willing to have a conversation. @CanadianR2R@WoundWarriorCA
With the Provincial Memorial cancelled and with Ontario being in another lockdown our team was encouraged to complete some individual rides. Was able to wear the amazing Ontario Police Memorial Fund kit and visit both memorial for David Nicholson. Hero’s in life!
Today, we remember officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, including our own Cst. David R. Nicholson, at a small ceremony. The Nicholson and Gage families, who tragically lost loved ones on August 12, 1998, will always be in our thoughts. #HeroesInLife
Our team was able to complete a small ride this morning with a stop at our fallen officers memorial. Was also able to complete 884km, one km for every fallen officer. @CanadianR2R@CPPOM
@WRPSToday held a local memorial today after our Run and Ride 2 Remember teams put in some mileage. A fitting tribute to our fallen officers. #Herosinlifenotdeath.
Three riders were out today in what would of been day 4 of the R2R. They rode 50, 106, and 183 km’s. We all miss the rush of riding onto Parliament Hill. Good thing we have lots of photos from last year when Fredericton P.S. rode with us. @CanadianR2R#R2R#RidetoRemember
We've had so many amazing people reach out about supporting the #RidetoRemember, we wanted to provide a link where you can donate.
Visit https://t.co/5WehGXnnIG and with a donation of $25 or more, we will send you one of our 2020 T-shirts.
Thank you for remembering our heroes.
Well day 3 was not as long as it usually is but 115km is better than nothing. Sporting a Canada Army Run jersey in support of a great event. View of Bellwood Lake half way through the ride.
A little motivation to start off day 2 of the virtual #RidetoRemember#R2R. Thinking of my @460km friends who will also be doing a 20km run today to mark the start of what would of been their 3 day journey to Ottawa. #willridefordonuts.
What a day. Our team completed 63, 147, or 205km. Big thanks to Doug @CanadianR2R for bringing out the great looking #RidetoRemember SUV and assisting with this morning’s ride. @WRPSToday
Preparing on the eve of Waterloo’s Virtual #RidetoRemember event. Members plan on ride up to 160-205 km’s to kick off what would of been day 1 of the Ride to Remember. We hope to be joined by the @CanadianR2R escort during the day to help raise awareness.
