Storing food without electricity. My root cellar has a stable +2-4°C ( 35-38F) even when the world above has had fierce frosts! Nights have dropped to -25°C but the root cellar stays stable 👍🏻

This is Bel, the English call it Sorghum. The Ganda people call it omuwemba! Among the Jopadhola of eastern Uganda, Bel is best used as ingredient for indigenous local beer called mwenge. It's also mixed with cassava floor to add taste, flavor and color to Kwon.
While at #URDT the museum managers had a session with Prof. Mwalimu Musheshe the found of URDT ( Uganda Rural Development Transformation ).
Prof. addressed the role of museums in addressing contemporary development challenges such as climate change.
