Memorial of Saint Boniface, Bishop and Martyr
Daily readings-2 Timothy 3: 10-17; Mark 12: 35-37
My personal reflections
1st reading- Trust in God. We must give our full and complete trust to God, that He will never abandon us and will provide us with the teaching that we need. Never doubt that He knows what is best for us.
Gospel- Don't reduce the Lord. This one took a bit for me. I had to search out other reflections to better understand this Gospel passage. So many of us today want to make Jesus what we want or need Him to be. However Jesus is always so much more than what we can imagine. In his day, everybody expected a warrior king, a conqueror who would defeat the Romans and restore the kingdom of Israel. Instead they got a humble son of a carpenter who came to serve. They wanted power, but He gave them Love. Do not try to make Him what you want him to be, but submit yourself to answering His call to do what He wants us to do. Remember this.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.

Thursday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Daily readings-2 Timothy 2: 8-15; Mark 12: 28-34
My personal reflections
1st reading- He is always faithful. The party that strikes me today is how even when we abandon our turn our backs on Jesus, He never abandons us. No matter what you do, no matter how bad your sin, He is always right there waiting for you.
Gospel- Follow His commandments. This reading is so simple, yet so profound. I could be reminded of this every day and still lose sight of it. Lord, please help me to remember to Love you first among all, and to love others as myself.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.

Memorial of Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, Martyrs
Daily readings- 2 Timothy 1: 1-3, 6-12; Mark 12: 18-27
My personal reflections
1st reading- Pick up your cross and carry it. This passage is powerful to me. It is reminding me to boldly declare my love for Jesus no matter the cost, and to suffer the consequences gladly knowing that he is with me.
Gospel- Death is not the end. Reading this today makes me think about how this life, and my eventual "death", is not the end at all. While I am not in a hurry for this life to end, I am reminded not to fear my death, but instead to prepare for it so that I may rest with Him.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.

Tuesday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Daily readings- 2 Peter 3: 12-15a, 17-18; Mark 12: 13-17;
My personal reflections
1st reading- Stay on the right path. Peter here is reminding me that "The End" is coming. Whether it is the end of my life or the end of the age matters not. He is reminding me that I need to keep my faith, honor the commandments, and follow Him so that I may have everlasting life. I am reminded to "remember my death" A.K.A Memento Mori.
Gospel- Don't let worldly debts and things distract you from worshipping God. How often do I get distracted by worldly things and lose sight of Him? I must constantly remind myself that He is the only thing that truly matters and give my life to Him.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.

Memorial of Saint Justin, Martyr
Daily readings- 2 Peter 1: 2-7; Mark 12: 1-12;
My personal reflections
1st reading- Thank you Lord. This reading makes me feel grateful for the Lord's sacrifice and resurrection which gave us all the ability to choose Him and eternal life over sin and death.
Gospel- out with the old, in with the new. This parable is powerful and deep. The tenants were the Pharisees and Sadducees. The vineyard are God's people. The servants sent were the prophets. After the owner gets rid of the bad tenants, who did he replace them with? The apostles. Now the vineyard will be run well by people who respect the owner of the vineyard. This parable is about the old covenant being fulfilled and the beginning of the new covenant and the beginning of The Church.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.

@BengalsCentral_ Absolute greatness on film. A first ballot hall of famer right there.
......though, I'm not sure those are good things to be great at and probably don't want to be in THAT hall of fame........sooo.......
@NeilMasimba Congratulations! You're are 14.3% correct!
The Church always has, does, and will continue to teach all but the last one.
The last one is the only thing you actually got correct.
1 out of 7 is a very poor grade in reality though.
@metathomist@KellyPowersBPA@metathomist I don't think he "misunderstands" the Catholic position, so much as he willfully relies on others not understanding Catholic positions and leads them astay purposefully.
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
Daily readings- Exodus 34: 4b-6, 8-9; 2 Corinthians 13: 11-13; John 3: 16-18;
1st reading- Lord, guide us. I am reminded that despite my best individual efforts to be a good Christian man, I can do nothing without the Lord.
2nd reading- A call to be, and live, better in the Lord. I am reminded to love others, as He has loved us. No judgement, forgiveness, generosity, and desiring the best for others.
Gospel- The ultimate sacrifice. God the Father gave us his only son so that we might be saved as an example of His perfect generosity and love. Jesus demonstrated perfect obedience to the Will of the Father. These are the standards we are to spend the rest of our lives trying to live up to in how we treat others.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today. It's Sunday, the greatest day of the week.

@BibleInContext1 Dude, you make honest protestant apologists look bad. So bad they are disowning you. It doesn't matter what denomination or religion, no one likes a grifter. I will pray for you.
Saturday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time
Daily readings-Jude 17: 20b-25 Mark 11: 27-33;
1st reading- Love each other as I have loved you. This reading reminds me to just love others, without judgement. To love someone is to desire the best for them.
Gospel- Cannot preach to the deaf. This Gospel passage reminds me that those who are not open to the Lord are not ready to hear the Word of the Lord. All I can do is plant seeds and pray that they grow.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.

Friday of the Eighth Week in Ordinary Time
Daily readings- 1 Peter 4: 7-13; Mark 11: 11-26;
My personal reflections
1st reading- Stay the course. Here St. Peter implores us to keep "fighting the Good fight" and to not get distracted or disillusioned. Give your suffering to Christ and know that He will reward you in Heaven!
Gospel- Faith and Righteousness. Jesus teaches us to have faith that whatever you ask of God can be done. He also shows us that we are to be strung enough to do what is right, no matter the cost.
I pray you experience Jesus Christ and have a blessed day today.
