I led a @westerncaucus trip to Northern Minnesota, where we stopped by the U.S. Forest Service’s Unified Command Center to learn about their work to combat the ongoing wildfires.
Their efforts are heroic and it was an honor to personally thank the National Guard, firefighters, and emergency crews for everything they are doing to keep us safe!
Closing out the weekend, our Members got a firsthand look at Minnesota's wildfire response efforts and the devastating impact of active wildfires. As wildfire season continues, these on the ground insights help inform the work we do in Washington to support the front lines!
This weekend, we were in Minnesota to see its incredible potential firsthand. From mining to logging, the state's abundant natural resources are a powerhouse for jobs, growth, and America's future. The Western Caucus is ready to help unlock that potential.

As a dairyman, I'll never miss an opportunity to honor the California dairy industry.
Whether it's a glass of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, or banana milk, celebrating our dairy producers is always bipartisan!
This National Dairy Month, I was excited to bring Central Valley milk across the country to Washington.

What a treat to visit the Great American State Fair on the National Mall, especially the Wyoming booth. Nothing beats seeing a piece of home here in DC.
I am honored to announce that communities in Northwest Iowa will receive more than $27 million in FEMA Disaster Relief funding for recovery following the devastating floods and other natural disasters, including $22 million for the City of Rock Valley.
I have worked closely with local officials and FEMA in Washington, D.C., to help ensure our communities receive the support and resources they need to recover.
Our work is not done. I will continue working with local, state, and federal officials to secure every federal dollar needed to help Northwest Iowa fully recover and rebuild.
June is National Turkey Lovers’ Month! As we close out the month, I want to thank all of the hardworking turkey producers across #MN01 who make Minnesota the #1 turkey state.
Today, I joined @CongressmanGT in introducing the Securing America's Workforce Act.

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and I spoke this morning about the devastating wildfires across Colorado’s Third District and the ongoing response, including dedicated work by the U.S. Forest Service. We discussed the federal resources needed to support impacted communities and those on the front lines.
My office will continue working with our federal, state, and local partners to help ensure Colorado and #CO03 has the resources and support needed to respond to these fires as safely and effectively as possible. @SecRollins
.@CongressmanGT just dropped the Securing Agriculture's Workforce Act! This bill delivers massive wins specifically built for our agriculture industry.
How it helps Western Minnesota producers:
- Extends H-2A temporary worker definitions up to 350 days, allowing industries like dairy, poultry, and specialty crops to be eligible for the program
- Changes the definition of H-2A workers from "seasonal" to "temporary", opening the program up to operations that need year-round labor.
- Reduces compliance costs by slashing red tape through multi-year certifications.
It's time to bring well-deserved workforce stability to our family farms!
Last week, @NatResources advanced the Great American Outdoors Act 250.
Montana’s public lands are central to our way of life. They support local jobs and strengthen gateway communities.
This bill improves access and helps preserve these treasured places for future generations.

@SecRollins and @USDA announced a final Regenerative Feedstock Rule that will help farmers access the biofuel market and create more opportunities for American biofuel producers. Glad to see this move from USDA that will strengthen Indiana agriculture and American energy dominance.
