We can’t control natural disasters. What we can control is how your government responds to them. That is why I joined the Missouri delegation in supporting @GovMikeKehoe’s recent request for federal assistance following the devastating tornadoes and flooding that impacted Missouri in April.
Like our Governor, I am deeply concerned for the Missourians working to rebuild their homes, businesses, and communities. I remain committed to helping secure the support and resources they need.
Enjoyed touring Wabash Valley Resources and learning more about their work to support Indiana agriculture through domestic fertilizer production. Projects like this help strengthen our supply chain and support farmers across Indiana.
The House just passed my bill to extend authorization for the Fort Peck Reservation Rural Water System through 2028.
This is a major step forward for clean, reliable water access for tribal and rural communities across northeastern Montana. Proud to have gotten it done and I urge my colleagues in the Senate to act quickly to get it to @POTUS desk.
H.R. 41 has officially passed the House!
After 11 separate congressional introductions over 22 years and after over 50 years of advocacy from these communities, we have finally passed this important legislation out of the United States House!
Proud to advance legislation that honors existing agreements under ANCSA and provides a pathway for future economic development and self-determination for Alaska Native families in Haines, Ketchikan, Petersburg, Tenakee, and Wrangell.
Big win for northeastern Montana.
The House just passed my bill, H.R. 7250, to extend authorization for the Fort Peck Reservation Rural Water System through 2028 and keep critical water infrastructure moving forward for tribal and rural communities.
This June is National Dairy Month. Join me in celebrating the dairy industry across Central Washington which employs thousands of people while contributing hundreds of millions of dollars to our region’s economy. In the Yakima Valley, our dairymen were subjected to lawfare during the previous Administration, and I am actively working with the EPA and Administrator Zeldin to remedy their situation and #SaveOurDairies. Support your local dairy with a glass of milk or a bowl of ice cream this month.
🥾@RepChuck's "Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail Feasibility Study Act of 2026," amends the National Trails System Act to authorize a study on the feasibility of designating the Benton MacKaye Trail, which runs through Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, as a National Scenic Trail.
Thank you to the Nuclear Energy and National Security Coalition for putting on such an important forum. It was a pleasure to discuss how we can shift US reliance away from foreign supply chains and secure American energy dominance through domestic means. I look forward to working together to ensure that America has a brighter, stronger, and more prosperous future.
The House just passed my Crystal Reservoir Conveyance Act.
When local communities are willing to step up and take responsibility, Washington should empower them—not stand in their way.
This bill gives the City of Ouray the tools to restore and manage Crystal Reservoir while preserving public access, supporting wildfire response, protecting recreation, and ensuring this resource continues serving the community for generations.
Proud to get this done for Ouray and Colorado’s Western Slope. #CO03
🪶@RepNickBegich's "Unrecognized Southeast Alaska Native Communities Recognition and Compensation Act," amends the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act to allow Haines, Ketchikan, Petersburg, Tenakee and Wrangell to organize into Alaska Native urban corporations and each select one township in Southeast Alaska within the Tongass National Forest.
⚡️@RepRussFulcher's "CLEAN Act," amends the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970 to require the Secretary of the Interior to hold geothermal energy lease sales annually. It also implements timelines for permit applications.
Great to welcome fellow Nebraskans to “History in the Making” at the Nebraska Breakfast today.
As the longest-running delegation meeting of its kind in Congress, this time-honored tradition remains one of my favorite ways to connect with Nebraskans during their visits to Washington!
June is National Dairy Month! Dairy is a vital part of Indiana’s Ag economy, producing approximately four million pounds of milk per day. With hundreds of farms across our state, our dairy producers are helping feed the nation and the world! 🐄🥛
The House has passed my bipartisan CLEAN Act to bolster geothermal energy production.
Geothermal is a clean, abundant, and dependable energy resource that can help meet America’s rapidly rising power demands.
However, the lack of consistent geothermal lease sales and the slow federal permitting process result in timelines longer than many other energy projects. The CLEAN Act will address these barriers and unlock opportunities to explore and develop this renewable energy source.
I’m grateful to see this legislation pass the House and urge the Senate’s swift consideration of this commonsense measure.
My team was pleased to attend a landmark water agreement signing ceremony with Resolution Copper and the town of Superior. This deal secures a more than $20 million water deal to protect the community’s water future. Congratulations!
As wildfire season approaches, I joined the Colorado National Guard to learn more about the aviation capabilities that help protect communities across Colorado.
In a district as large and rugged as #CO03, aviation is essential for wildfire response, search-and-rescue missions, disaster response, and military readiness. We also discussed the High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site, a world-class Colorado facility that prepares pilots for some of the most demanding flying conditions in the world.
Grateful to Major General Robert Davis and the men and women of the Colorado National Guard for their service and commitment to keeping Colorado communities safe.
