In my experience nobody really cares what's playing when they go to a club to dance. They just want an excuse to dance. Today's audiences value the accessibility of records of their favorites but wouldn't turn up the opportunity to see the original artist perform live #MUNMUS2011

@KaylaWoodman2 I agree with you in principle, however I think the works we're referring to here primarily existed to skirt racially segregated audiences. Often simply taking black music and delivering it to white audiences in packaging they found more pleasing #MUNMUS2011

I think the term Schlock Rockb is mostly justified as it often referred to music that was largely unchanged besides minor tweaks to appeal to a more white audience. They were often uninspired pieces made to get around racial prejudice. #MUNMUS2011

I fell that Ray Charles uses this "Breaking Voice" to convey the passion he has for his work. We've seen he is very particular about the production quality of his work and his vocal style is simply another way to convey his admiration for the music #MUNMUS2011

@sbaggs19 I actually hadn't considered additional expression of artist identity through technology. Social media definitely gives us an insight into their lives which could definitely impact how their work could be interpreted.

I think music streaming is the real game changer. I don't really think it's changed who I see myself as, but I never really listened to music until Spotify came around. Now I can just put it on and discover new tracks every day. #MUNMUS2011
