@klwoodjr To elaborate on the matter..
The Braves remaining schedule is 14th against .502.
The Nationals remaining schedule is 21st against .494.
The Braves haven’t played the Mets a single time this season. Rest assured, SoS is a non factor between the two teams.
Hope this helps.
@klwoodjr Nah, surely not someone crying about SoS while failing to understand the most fundamental part of that calculation.
The Braves don’t have to play a team winning over 67% of their games. Washington has done so 7 times this season.
Hope this clears up the delusions in your head.
@DPYoungblood@donboscomd@TJStats That people rush out to defend a cap with the logic of it creating more parity in the league are just ignorant. That normal, everyday people have somehow been duped into actually advocating on behalf of the billionaires is something that will always confuse me. It's just bizarre.
@DPYoungblood@donboscomd@TJStats A cap won't bridge the gap you think exists there. Cheap owners will stay cheap. Teams like the dodgers will still clear everyone else.
The people that lose are the players. The only people who benefit are the owners who just pocket more money with a cap.
@donboscomd@TJStats What exactly prevents a soft floor from existing without a cap? I’m very interested to hear your reasoning for that. Mainly because that’s an asinine thing to suggest.
Looking for something other than.. “that’s how all caps work” ..btw
@grantmcauley We were doing the Michael Harris stuff on here a couple days ago. Mateo’s batted ball stuff is way better than I think anyone actually realizes. He’s outperforming his expected numbers, but we’re still talking about..
xBA: .287
xSLG: .445
xwOBA: .339
HardHit%: 46%
Barrel%: 10%
@Tdub2824 Kim has never even sniffed the expected numbers Mateo is running right now. It’ll probably level off as I doubt he’s just a .290ish hitter now with actual pop.
Kim is nothing near a sure bet to meet him in the middle though. Mateo should play more for now without question.
@Tdub2824 Will he stay here all year? Probably not.
Acting as if he’s getting lucky and will surely fall off a cliff because of babip.. while acting as if Kim’s atrocious everything will fix itself with zero signs suggesting he will is pure insanity.
@grantmcauley Worth noting his xwOBA is .382 as well. The hard hit rate already leads you there, but this is very much real for him. It’s backed up by basically everything you could look to. Not just a somewhat fortunate hot stretch.
@YankeesFiles@Srechter7@Waleed_Hourani@ChrisCoop_ One last example for how much their strikeout rate impacted the totals. They were 12th in hardhit%. They had the 4th most hard hit balls. It really can’t be said enough how absurd they were at putting the ball in play.
@YankeesFiles@Srechter7@Waleed_Hourani@ChrisCoop_ If you wanna get a little more in the weeds there is one last place to go.
Their squared up contact rate 34.2%(5th)
Squared up swing rate was 27.3%(2nd)
Blast contact rate of 15.3%(7th)
Blast swing rate of 12.2%(5th)
Long story short, there was no babip magic. They just hit.
@tires_hub@Arsenal@MrrSpythar Started moving the goalposts before you even choked another game away. 😂😂
Congrats on the double bud! Better luck next year maybe. 💀💀
Wonder if Pep leaving will have any kind of impact?🤔🤔
City won’t finish top 3 next season. And another early CL exit. Enjoy
