@DadInvest@ReganCoda I’ve seen someone just under 9 figures at EJ. Middle aged. Sold a blue collar business and was turned off by the GS and MS private bankers that he met as he thought they were too different from him
@JillCastilla I actually see it quite often. One account being used for everything - operating, payroll, and reserves. Even seen customers say no to a money market to earn interest and keep large uninsured balances in one DDA for simplicity. Insurance/RE agents, contractors, and developers
@thebankzhar Regarding the insured deposits, is this metric only deposits insured by FDIC? My understanding is, for deposits not covered by FDIC, Massachusetts Depositors Insurance Fund insures them. While not backed by the federal government, wouldn’t they still be insured and more stable?

@TimyanBankAlert I’ve been really impressed with this bank and team since meeting them a few years ago. I wish there were more community banks with similar models - focused on credit risk over yield, balance of consumer & commercial loans, minimal wholesale funding, and focused on organic growth
@CorpusCol@TimyanBankAlert Banks of a similar size - FNBO does a good job in Northern Colorado. Early indications from mutual customers, SouthState seems to be doing well with Independent’s customer base.
